Default uploading cards

I have a digital camera, and I'm just wondering what would be the easiest way to upload some of my work, investing in a scanner or using the camera?

I use my digital camera & image editing s/w and it works just fine.

Lay the card down on a piece of white or black c/s (depending on the colors in the card) and stand over it w/ your camera so the camera is parallel to the card. Download to PC, and in photo editing s/w (I use PaintShop Pro) crop and resize as needed. Save it as a .jpg file.

I personally find it a lot easier just to scan the original card and save it as a jpg. file. I've never been happy with the digital photos of cards that I've taken. You have to have just the right light, just the right angle, and be very steady to get decent results. :( The only down side to scanning is that sometimes the colors are a little off, but I assume that could be a problem with photos, too.

I agree. I have tried both and find scanning easier to work with. Maybe its just because I need to learn to use the camera better.....
