From my old eyes, it looks like: Tangerine tango will take the place of really rust and pacific point will take the place of brilliant blue? Is this how you see it? I've tried to compare pieces of CS and that's what it looks like. Are there other similarities you see?
Also, I come up with 6 new colors -- daffodil delight, early espresso, crumb cake, cajun craze, cherry cobbler and marina mist. Is this how you read it?

Crumb Cake isn't new, just the new name for Kraft.
I see it more as Cajun Craze taking the place of Really Rust, and Tangerine Tango taking the place of Cameo Coral.
Agree on Pacific Point taking Brilliant Blue though.
I also see similar new or in colors like this as rationale (again just my thoughts):
Soft Suede taking Close to Cocoa's place.
Daffodil Delight taking over for YoYo and Summer sun
Early Espresso for Basic Brown (except that it isn't waterproof like Basic Brown)
Melon Mambo taking over for Pink Passion
Marina Mist refreshing/taking over for Ballet Blue
Baja Breeze refreshing/taking over for Brocade and Barely Blue
I think the new In Color Pear something is going to help us get over losing Green Galore, even though I haven't seen it I will assume it is going to be a similar bright green.
I think the new Concord Crush is going to help us get over Lovely Lilac, again my guess, it will probably be a little deeper but still lighter than Plum and Eggplant.

Do you know any of the other names of the upcoming new In Colors? Thanks.

I also agree that the Cajun craze color will be about as close to really rust as we will have. Tangerine tango is pretty orange and pretty bright. I don't think it's close to cameo coral at all, but that's just my opinion and it is in the brights collection. I didn't use it a lot last year when it was current but near the end of the year I really started to use/like it. I'm happy to see it back again (even though I'm still pining for kiwi like many others). It will be good for Halloween I think and great for summer too!
I can't wait to see what the new In Colors look like! To the OP, I would say the new Cajun color looks like a close replacement for Really Rust. Tangerine Tango is a redder orange than Pumpkin, but it is not brownish like Really Rust.

I'm not an orange fan, but I've always liked tangerine tango over only orange. I'm glad for the change.
I'll speculate. It's fun to guess, kind of like winning the jar of candy for guessing closest to the number of pieces inside without actually counting them! Here goes:
Concorde Crush -- a shade of purple, darker than lavender lace, lighter than eggplant?
Blushing Bride -- a replacement for blush blossom?
Pear Pizzaz -- a green? filling in between gable green, mellow moss, and sage shadow?
Poppy Parade -- a red-orange, filling in for ruby red and cameo coral?
Peach Parfait -- an orangy tone filling in for apricot appeal?
The set rounding out the soft subtles combination with a brighter pizazz?
I am totally confused now. The five I see in the new "color renovation" list put out by SU are: daffodil delight, early espresso, cajun craze, cherry cobbler and marina mist. Now, you've listed five entirely new colors!!! Where did you come up with those? I've !!!!
I'm not a demo, so demos, correct this if wrong, but I think there will be six new in-colors coming out in July along with the new color palette. From what I've read on various threads here on SCS, it sounds like the new color palette is a permanent change, and the six new in-colors will be available for two years, then be replaced with six new in-colors to be available for two years, etc. Is that correct?

FYI: There will now be in colors in sets of 5 instead of the current 6. There will be 5 coming out in July and will remain current for 2 years Then next July (2011) 5 more will come out so there will be two sets of in colors out at once. (So starting next year there will always be 10 current in-colors).
In 2012 the first set (that came out this year) will retire and we will get 5 new ones that will continue with the 5 released in 2011 and so on.

Ok, so to confuse you further....LOL
Ok, the five colors you mentioned are the NEW CORE colors. They are replacing the colors that are retiring at the end of June. They will be in the color collections (that's what they have renamed the families).
Now, the five other colors (pear, and peach and what not) will be the new in colors. They haven't been OFFICIALLY announced to us demos yet and we will get a good look at them on May 12 when our June magazine comes out.
That help to clear up the confusion or make it worse? LOL HTH!
The sixth color isn't really "new," it just has a new name. It's what's currently called Kraft and will now be called Crumb Cake. Since it's moving to a color family (or collection as it will be called) and will now have a marker and inkpad to go with, it needed a spiffy name like the other colors...

I'm wondering if the Blushing Bride will be a VERY soft peachy pink? Especially since there are two soft pinks in the new Subtles Collection. I mean what other colors can you blush...bright red?! LOL

Ok, I'll post this again...hope you're not getting sick of it:-)
There will now be FIVE in colors instead of the SIX. This is really throwing people off! :-) They will be good for two years now and next year (2011) we will get FIVE more for a total of 10 (Yippie)! Those will also be good for two years so each year the "old five" will retire (this will start in 2012), we will have the "second set of five" and then will get the "new five".
So this year there will be five colors but next year there will always be 10 with one set retiring and a new set coming in.
Clear as mud?
Oh and I wanna give a shout out to Momis Momma~I haven't talked to you in forever, so HI!

It has not been renamed and I have heard no mention of it so I don't think it will carry over. I need to call DS this week for something else so I'll TRY to remember to ask. Again, I wouldn't count on it but I don't think they have said yes or no either way. I guess the ink COULD show up since it's supposed to be waterproof. I do know it is NOT in the neutrals collection.
colors we will bid a fond
farewell to at the end of June 2010:
Ruby Red
Cameo Coral

Pink Passion
Pixie Pink
Pale Plum
Orchid Opulence
Lovely Lilac

I haven't heard what the new in-colors were going to be...These sound just wonderful. I won't miss most of the colors that are leaving, but I thought 29 was a bit harsh! These sound like they will really make up for the shock of all this! Can't wait!
I also just ordered two packs of my all-time favorite dp ( I'm not a big dp user)...Sweet Slumber from the clearance rack at SU...
