Default Twinkling H2O Colours

Hey there everyone

Hooray for Luminarte staying in business! I am the biggest fan of H2O's but I'm having trouble finding out which colours they are keeping in stock. I read somewhere that they are reducing the amount of H2O colours. Does anyone have a list of the colours that are going to be the H2O range now and which set numbers they are in?

I have been searching the forum for ages now without much luck!

Amy

PM your email address and I can forward the email I received from Luminarte a few weeks ago.

Or maybe this copy-and-paste will work:

These are the 72 colors that will continue to be made ~

Reds Oranges Browns & Black Yellows
Hot Cinnamon Deep Coral Burnt Umber Buttercup
Jasper Red Ginger Peach Chestnut Brown Lemon Drop
Poppy Red Orange Peel Nutmeg Sunburst
Ruby Red Spiced Pumpkin Warm Pecan Sunflower
China Black Yellow Rose

Teals Blues Iridescent Metallic
Guatemalan Gr. Blue Ice Irid. Blue Egyptian Gold
Mystic Blue Majestic Blue Irid. Gold Heavenly White
Stargazer Med.Blue Irid.Green Indian Copper
Tahitian Blue Ocean Wave Irid. Red Solar Gold
Tanzanite Rich Cobalt Irid. Violet Pewter
Teal Zircon Sapphire On Ice Oyster Scarab Beetle

Greens Pinks Purples Peaches
African Jade Apple Blossom English Lav. Coral Berry
Fern Black Cherry Eve. Primrose Pink GrapeFruit
Green Tea Cherry Sorbet French Lilac Playful Peony
Kiwi Jasmine Icy Iris
Lemongrass Pink Azalea Periwinkle Skin Tones
Mallard Gr. Pomegranate Snapdragon Golden Sand
Olive Vine Razzleberry Wild Plum Rich Cocoa
Rain Forest Wine & Roses Wisteria Rose Petal

The newsletter broke them into color families (the formatting didn't carry over) and I don't see anything about which colors are in which sets but I think they may have to renumber the sets since most probably have 1 or more retiring colors in them (my guess).

Sorry to repeat the above post. I had these in columns according to color like in the email and when I hit save changes they went back to having no columns. The colors at the top (ex. reds, oranges, etc. were the labels for the columns-not actual colors.)

wow! I did not know they made so many colors....I only have a dozen or so. Is there an online store because, the normal craft places do not carry many colors. Thanks for posting the colors too!

Oh sorry... In my panic I was so rude barging in like that...

Hi everyone! I've only just bought my first H20's (got some second hand to try them) and I love them... but wouldn't you know they are mostly in the 'keeping' range!

Here's my favorites....

For flowers.....red, Hot Cinnamon or Playful Peony; pink, Pink Cloud; yellow, Sunflower or Sunburst; peach, Dreamsicle; lilac, Icy Iris

For leaves....Fern or Golden Jade; and when I'm doing fall colors, I'll add Solar Gold and Gold Dust.

and I like Icicles as a highlighter at the end of tips of flower petals, etc.

Any other favorites that anyone likes??

It makes sense that they reduce the number of colors. So many were to close and you can always blend to get new colors, but Oh NO - Dreamsicle & Bougainvillea to be disconintued- I love these colors. I better get a couple of extras if I can still get them!!

Oh my goodness, thanks so much to the OP for drawing my attention to this. Got to get at least half a dozen of those colours being discontinued - there are some of my favourites in there! Icicles, Vanilla, Sunset Glow (my favourite for Poinsettias). I didn't even know about this!

I just looked through my stash and found that I had 12 pots, only 3 of the ones you mentioned Audrey.....Sunburst, Fern and Gold Dust.

Looks like I will just have to order a few of those retired colors.....they look so yummy, I want them all!!

Have you ever applied the wet color to an inked stamp? Or do you apply directly to your stamped image? The latter is all I have ever done. Just curious how others use them.....

Hi Cindy...

I've done both.....painted a stamped image.....and painted directly to the stamp ((especially fall leaves or fruit)).

Have fun and experiment....remember, if it dries on the stamp, just give it a quick spray or two ((mist it)) before you stamp.

Thanks for the great colour choice hints Audrey, Stamphappy, Cindy and Sabrina...

I've got them all down on my list! :-D

And I'll have to try painting directly on the stamp too - I sure you can get some great effects!

Anyone else with "must have" colours? :-D

I can't suggest specific colors (my Twinks aren't handy and neither is a color chart showing the shades) but if you do flowers you may also want some blues and greens for skies and grass.
