Default Which Twinkling H20s colors do I need???

I just got to play with a pack of Twinkling H20s this afternoon ... bought them last weekend and they sat neglected all week! :(

I bought pack TW-665 (a new color pack that includes English Lavendar, Wine & Roses, Dreamsicle, Lemongrass, Mediterranean Blue and Blushing Rose). I am in love ...

Was wondering what colors you owned and which colors you get the most use out of.

Generally, do you use Stazon to stamp your image first or do you emboss in black and then paint? I don't have any black embossing powder (gasp!) so I just used black Stazon this afternoon when I was playing around. It seemed to work fine.

Thanks for your advice!

Default Which Colors

Here are the two color charts I used to decide which ones I wanted first.

http://www.merrystamper.com/twcolor.htm
http://www.wilde-ideas.com/Vndrs/Lum...rChart_ex.html

The second site is the chart from the people who make them.

I had ordered some Radiant Pearls from them in the past and low and behold, they sent me a gift box for Christmas with an ornament done with the H2O's and a card painted with them. I was pleasantly surprised. I got my H20's from Shawna here on SCS. She gave a 25% discount I think, if I remember right.

HTH,
Shirley

Shirley,
Thank you SO much for posting those chart links! It helps so much to see them in that format rather than just the colors in the pots.

Again, thanks!

Sarah - I just got some Twinkling H2O's 2 weeks ago - I am in love with them and ordered another pack - I got mine from a store on e-bay - PM me if you want the name...they charged $10 plus $1.50 for S&H

Anyway - I just stamped using classic black ink and colored itusing an aquabrush - no problems - so you don't have to use Staz-on or emboss

I use basic black also, works great. I just got the set of metallics (gold, bronze, white etc. can't remember the name) but it is so pretty with the set of bright colors I already owned!

Ok, how are twinking H2Os different from the Pearl Ex Palettes that look like watercolor cakes and you use a water brush to apply?

Default H2O's

The H2O's are paints that have sparkle in them...but are PAINT, and you use them as you would any kind of paint...brush and water....not trying to come across as a smarta**, sometimes it just sounds like it. :(

The radient pearls are glycerin based...and act and react different in application.

My fav ink to use is a black memories pad....or a permanent black dye based ink......

it doesn't take much water to get a very rich color from the H2O's.

The question of how many do you need ? ALL OF THEM, silly girl !!!!!!

So is it correct to say that where the Pearl Ex Palettes look different on light vs. dark C/S, the Twinkling H2Os stay color consistent? In other words a pink shade of TH20s is pink on white or black...none of the interences/duos etc?

Thanks for the help. Just trying to determine 'need'. :P

Tyra Smith has product reviews of TH20s, PE paints, Radiant Pearls etc. on her website:

http://netnet.net/~cloud9/

Shawna is putting in another TH20 order soon and gives a 25% discount - here's her thread:

Default Forgot this chart on H2O's

I am sorry. After positing the sites with the color charts, I forgot I had made this one. I make color charts on all my mediums.

I did a watercolor wash on one side of the color space and then a more deep color on the other. Both were done with a watercolor brush. If you need to be able to see this clearer, email me. The size is so controlled by the site, you may not be able to read the colors on here.

I hope this helps. Sorry I forgot I did it, even though I use it all the time.
