I hadn't noticed this set before (Can't believe it, because now I see alot of people have it and talk about it). I have the punch that goes with it and I love the punch. Not so sure about the set. I'm wondering if I want it just because it goes with the punch. I'm not sure if I would use the set. Those of you who have it, do you love it?
I do have both the set and the punch. I love that they work together, just don't cut the 3 flowers apart if you get it. I really like the small harlequin background stamp. So I had several reasons for liking it. Although, I do find I have a difficult time getting different looks from this set. I'm not sure why but I have seen comments on here that people are over this set... I'm not sure what the reason is. I would say go to the gallery and see if you are inspired, and then make your decision.
I have both the set and the punch. In the beginning I used them alot but... now I have other favorites. I have found other sets that were more versatile, but that's just my 2 cents.

I have the punch and stamp set. Really, I don't use either. I thought I would LOVE the stamp set, but I just don't reach for it all that often. I would pass and get Sassy Stems instead. I use those cute flowers much more often!
I used my set a couple of times then traded it. Kept the punch though. Ironically though I got stiffed on this trade. So I guess I wish I would have kept it.

I find using the harlequin and diagonal crosshatch designs to be a fabulous and easy way to pull a card together. The large flower shape also makes a great base for sentiments, and a really fun, funky background pattern if you stamp it in bright colours. I'll link to some examples of mine -- I find this to be a very versatile stamp set, but I don't have many floral stamp sets myself.
I have both and used them a lot at first... but not as much anymore. That holds true for most of my stamps though. I think now that it is retiring you will be able to get it later for pretty cheap if you later decide that you must have it. kwim? I bet a lot of people will be getting rid of it here on BST forum or on ebay once it retires it.
I have it and I like it. I don't use it a lot, but I really like the cards that I've made with it. I agree with checking out the gallery for inspiration and see if anything moves you. But I also agree with the fact that a bunch of people will be getting rid of theirs, now that it's on the retired list, if you wanted to trade or buy it cheaper.

I have had it for about 1 year (maybe from a mini catty?) and it's still uncut. I love all the ideas in the gallery, I just haven't gotten around to doing anything with it and now that it is retiring, I will probably not do anything with it. :(
Bought it used and used it once. However, I still like it! This is one of those sets that was HUGELY popular and there will be a ton on the used market in, oh, about a month!

This is currently my favorite flower set. I personally feel like it's a very versatile set because besides the flower stamps you also get background stamps, plus you could get a matching punch as well. I ordered this set when it was in the mini catty a couple years ago, so I also got the designer paper that matched this set.
I would do what others have suggested, look in the gallery and if you really like what you see, order it. I have liked everything I've done with this set.

Funny thing, I wasn't sure I really wanted the punch, but ended up getting it anyway, since I had the set.
I remember when LLS first came out - I really loved all the samples I was seeing made with it and figured it was a must-have set for me. I am a big floral person and thought the set would be quite versatile. I ordered it, mounted it, but with the exception of the two argyle images, the set has yet to see ink! I've come to realize that all the great cards I loved so much were done by stamping and then cutting out the giant flower... which is something I am just NOT up to doing often enough to have justified buying the set. :( I realize that I could try and come up with other ways to use the big flower that don't involve cutting it out, but that just hasn't happened yet. I'm just so stumped trying to use it! I'm keeping the argyle stamps, but the rest of the images have gone into my donate/give-to-the-kids pile. I don't know if this helps you or not, but it's my experience.
This is one of my favorite card layouts, a single layer wow. Just ink up the stamp with a lighter color and do the tips and center with a darker colored marker. This also looks nice with mustard flower with red tips and brown center for fall.
I love it too! It doesn't just "look like spring." It also looks like summer and autumn. The little flowers can be used with so many other sets.
The big one, I was just thinking about trying as a background for a cut-out snowflake. So then it would even "look like" winter.
I got the set & the punch at the same time and I love them! I have punched out those little flowers in all sorts of colors and used them with other sets as well.
I bought the set as a fairly new stamper, and, like a dumba$$, I cut the flowers apart...I realized my mistake the second that I did it! But, I never use the flowers with the punch anyway!
Did anyone else do that?

I haven't done that, but when I was a new scrapbooker I got really mad at my Xron (The semi expensive one) because it didn't laminate very well (I tried to laminate my ultrasound picts and ruined them :-( ). I ended up donating it to the goodwill. Now I'm wishing I had it back! It would be really handy to use with ribbon and to make letters sticky.
Thanks for all the good comments everyone. I still can't make up my mind. I might just try to get it after it retires, although I've found things don't usually get much cheaper. At least it won't be near Christmas.
