I'm trying to help a friend come up with a stamped craft to sell at her church's craft fair. It has to be something she can make at her MOPs meeting and it can't be too costly. She's a beginning stamper, so it can't be too complicated either. I came up with the following Christmas ornament.
What do you think??
Does it need a different ribbon??
Would you purchase it?? (keep in mind that the people attending the fair are probably not stampers and haven't been exposed to the exquisite work at SCS).
Oh my word! That is soooo pretty! I LOVE the sparkle! Did you stamp ON the ornament? As a beginning stamper will she be able to do that without smearing too many? I absolutely love it though....it is so pretty! I would buy it and put it on my tree!

The instructions in the link described stamping on tissue paper and then applying the cutouts to the inside of the ornament.
They are absolutely GORGEOUS! I think if I can find a good price on some globe ornaments I'm going to make these instead of nugget boxes to give to my friends and coworkers!

I think the ornament itself is absolutley stunning! To be honest I'm not super thrilled with the ribbon - maybe the bow just needs to be a bit smaller. But the ornament is gorgeous!!!!! Should sell quite well. You might consider doing some in different colors (same design just the some with red snowflakes or purple...etc,) to fit lots of people's decorations.
First of all wow this is really beautiful. I personally would go with a plain silver ribbon. You already have the multicolored shiny thing going on with the snow inside.
Thanks for your comments and suggestions. With all the ribbon I have in the house, I can't believe that I was having a hard time finding one to fit this ornament. I will try it with some silver organdy that I have.
Wonderful ornament...and you could also use the swirl stamp and gold embossin g, I did one like that last year. One of the keys to success for a craft sale is the price point...people aren't always willing to pay for your hard work! If it is reasonably priced and people feel they are getting good value...you will be successful and they will take home a beautiful piece of artwork...good luck and have fun at the sale...Rebecca

They're half off at Michael's, but the sale ends today. I picked some up for my stamp camp next week (yeah, I waited 'til the last minute!).
WOW - I loved that ornament! Really cool! I actually liked the big bow, but I'm a big bow type of person (look at the big bow I put on my daughter's hair in my avatar)
After the craft show is over, you should update this thread and let us know how many you sold!
