The link to this site was in an e-mail from Etsy. Is this one of the cutest owls you've ever seen or what? No matter what color she used, he was adorable.
LOL...nyet to both! Close but no cigar! If you follow the link I provided, you can see all the different items she made and the different colors she used. Absolutely adorable.
He is an owl of a different sort, isn't he? Dots on his body and a "stitched" circle around his iris. I'll keep looking.
Denise and Kimberly...
You both found him on different sites. LOL...and, one was wood mounted and the other part of an acrylic set. Too funny. Thanks so much. I knew you guys would come through with the info! Yea, SCS!
Okay, RavioliGirl, you and your cute owl! I fell in love with the little guy and had to go on the hunt to find him. Finally found the stamp on ebay last night. He is now on his way to roost at my house.

Oh, bugga...that is hysterical. Are you saying it's MY fault that you spent money??? LOL.
He is the cutest thing I've seen in ages. Can't get him right now, but am definitely going to put him on my wish list. That's just one of those stamps you can use all by itself and it still evokes "ooohs" and "aaahs." Don't ya think?
News flash! LOL...just talked to my hubby and he says I can buy cutesy Owl from ebay for my birthday! Yipee! I'm off to do a search. Thanks for the heads up, Bugga!

Of course. It can't be MY fault.

That's my favorite owl stamp!!!!!! You are going to cry. I feel like a meanie bearing bad news but you overpaid. You can buy him at Hobby Lobby for $6.00. I used a 40% coupon so he was cheaper. Here's the link: http://shop.hobbylobby.com/products/...-stamp-136937/ JoAnns & Michael's also had or has him. Hobby Lobby still does have this stamp on their shelf.
Well...I'm not going to cry, but my heart IS sad. Money is so tight right now. When my hubby said I could buy it for my birthday, I was thrilled. Little bit of air out of my sails this morning. I guess this will teach me not to get overly excited about something and try to attain something RIGHT NOW that I don't really HAVE to have. It's just that he was so cute.
You know...I just had to come back and add a little something. While it is disheartening to spend more than I needed to...I still have that memory of a sweet husband who allowed me to purchase cute owl for my b-day. That may be a little thing, but it's a huge blessing to me. There are so many folks out there with so many REAL LIFE needs right now, I guess overpaying for a stamp seems trivial in comparison. Have a good day, everyone.
DeeAnn, I found out that Hobby Lobby carries the stamp, too. I saw it online, and then dashed off to my Hobby Lobby store. My particular store didn't have it in stock on the shelf, so that's why I ordered it from ebay (cheaper shipping than from Hobby Lobby online).
So RavioliGirl, we don't have to feel too bad. Your Hobby Lobby might not have had it in stock either. I don't have much luck asking about particular stamps at Hobby Lobby on the telephone, or at other large stores, for that matter.
The clerks seem to not really understand which one I mean, and I never have confidence in what they tell me. I have wasted lots of time and gasoline going to a store and finding out they didn't have something that they told me on the phone was in stock.
Sometimes ordering something online can be cheaper in the long run than wasting expensive gas going to a store to try to find it.
And yes, the best thing about this whole saga of the owl stamp is your sweet hubby, RavioliGirl. Being married to someone who wants to make you happy is Priceless!

Thanks, Bugga. I do have a sweet husband. He takes good care of me and is living proof that you don't have to "have it all" to be happy. He knows what is important in life.
Thats so beautiful! My sister also likes doing that. But yours is so much professional.
Did you made the owl design yourself?
Monique,
If you follow the link in the first post, it will take you to Etsy and you can then look up the rest of the "seller's" items. She does a fabulous job. The stamp is from Hampton Art.
From the date on your screen name it looks like you just joined SCS. Welcome! You will love it here and learn so much. Everyone here is very generous with their knowledge and expertise.
It's a Birthday present! They're supposed to be extravagant! Enjoy your stamp and enjoy that every time you use it, you get to remember you're DH wanted you to have it!

That's what matters the most it's your special B-day gift that you will always treasure. We all have overspent on one item and it evens out. Next week you will find something expensive that is practically free.
My DH bought me a Cricut Imagine this weekend. I almost fainted on the spot. He wanted me to have one since the day they came out. He was not going to walk out of WalMart until he had one in his hands. I actually didn't want one. I am like a die cutting queen. This is the cutter that is for me. I love my Imagine. I didn't even know it but my sweet hubby did. Every time I look at it I start tearing up because of the meaning from my DH.
We are the luckiest girls in the world to have great hubbies.
Happy B-day and enjoy your beautiful stamp. You will love him/her. You won't want to stop stamping with it. It was made to add rhinestones around the eyes. It looks so cute when you do that.
