Default Today's Special Value on QVC!!!! UPDATE!!!!!

I bought it - I'm excited! I have never bought anything from QVC before. I've been getting emails all week from Creating Keepsakes magazine reminding me of this.

http://www.creatingkeepsakes.com/cal...l?event_id=446

While I'm a die hard SU! fan when it comes to my rubbah, I'm a paper ***** who will buy just about anything that's different. Well, I bought one in beige last night, and I'm tempted to go back and buy a blue and a pink if any are left. The box alone is so cool!

Anyone else get one of these?

I got all 3 of mine and I LOVE them!!! They are the nicest thing!! Now only if they do a refill with all the cards I can make!!!

I got beige also!

Pam, I wanted to let you know... you will be thrilled with your QVC crafting purchases. The kits and or the todays special values are really great bargains!
Some of the other stuff I'd rather get at Michael's with a 40% off coupon.

I also purchase a 250 word magnetic stamp set today. They are very similar to the wonderful words background stamp, except they are seperate. I can't wait to get my new stuff. Dina

OOPS! Not wonderful words..... Word by word background!

Well, I'm a sucker! I just went back and bought the pink and the blue too!! ;)
We are having a girls crafting weekend - thought up by my 9 year old niece. So there will be my mom, my SIL and my 9 year old and 7 year old nieces. Each of the 3 women are to come up with crafts to do all day for 1 day. So, I'll have Friday, my SIL will have Saturday, and my mom will have Sunday. I'll give my mom the beige, my SIL and the girls the pink one, and I'll have the blue one. That way, they can make as many or as little as they want, and still have stuff to do when they go home! HOW MUCH FUN WILL THAT BE!! Ye HAH! I'm so FREAKING EXCITED!! Can you tell!!

I just ordered the pink set. I love making all my cards and tags etc... and for the most part stamp them using all SU products but occassionally I want/need to do a quick card and either don't have the stamp set I would need or really am not in the mood to stamp a card. I think this will be great for that.

Wow! I was just watching QVC - tons of crafting stuff. I can never decide on anything while it's still on air. I'm too slow! Curious...has anyone used the Dry Bond in card making?

Jami, you don't have to decide while it's on air If you go to QVC you can find all the products. If you think you might be ordering more than one thing it's probably better to order it on-line.

You can either just look thru the craft stuff or go to the program guide, pick today's date and then it will list all the shows. From there pick whichever show you want and then select show all products in that show. You'll see them all there and be able to browse to your heart's content

Thanks Jodi! I have actually done that before. Seems like lots of times I wait till stuff sells out though! LOL! On days like today with soooo much cool stuff I just get overwhelmed! Oh - the Create-a-lopes just sold out! See what I mean?

Did you notice that the Anna Griffin clear stamps use the lid of the ink for the stamp mount? Yuck!

It makes 50 cards, and they're all pre-packed kits. Totally handy, and then I can case the ideas ;)

Then the storage box, 8x8 scrapbook and papers, and the 4x6 book. Sounded like a really good value to me! I wish SU would start carrying the 8x8 books.

I posted in the announcement section as well, but I have been sketching the cards as fast as I can. They were very cute samples. I didn't order since I can recreate most of them, but I do love the box.

I saw those gift bag templates. I was watching it about 20 mins behind live time and when I went to order them they are on wishlist - meaning they will send it to me if they get them in within 45 days.

I've never really shopped from QVC before. Is it likely they will get more or are these usually specials? Anyone know?

Thanks

I order from QVC all the time, don't tell dh. If somthing is on waitlist it will be in before the 45 days. I have never had to cancel an order, it always has come in before the 45 days.

COOL! I know I don't really need to have the templates to make the bags. I'm sure I could download patterns from somewhere but this would be so easy

I got both the pink and the beige when they first came on at 9pm AZ time...I've been waiting for weeks! I had to go in the bathroom to call - DBF thinks I have too much crafting stuff as it is!

I'm standing strong and not ordering the Today's Special Value. However, I couldn't pass up the matting tool, Perfect Layers. It has two rulers that will let you cut mats in 8 different sizes, I think. This will come in so handy with layering on cards as well. Sometimes I decide to trim just a little after I have cut, and it is hard to do on the paper cutter. This should be perfect!

I bought the Todays Special in beige I stayed up until midnight last night to order it. The site must have been very busy it kept kicking me off. Also bought a cropper hopper class pack organizer. I had stopped watching and got on SCS and saw the talk about the create a bag so I had to go to the site and get on the waitlist for it. I have the create a lope set and it is very nice to make envelopes. I have to stay away from QVC. I need to spend that money on my SU minimum

Okay, I am glad I was not the only crazy one. I have only used SU products, but when I saw this today special, I had to have it. I love the box. I hate to admit it, but I bought FOUR!! I wanted the pink and the blue, they were sold out of tan, and I thought I would do Christmas shopping now and I bought one for my mom and mother in law. I also brought the straight edge mat tool and the envelope kit. Good thing my husband was working at the fire station and I have a stash of mad money. Now I have to save up more for stamps, since I just spent it all!! I am a sick individual!!

Kar - you have such willpower!!! I could probably be like you if Creating Keepsakes didn't send me email reminders just about every other day! I don't normally watch QVC, but when I saw it on the TV, I caved. It will be fun though so I'm not regretting it a single bit!! Funny - my husband says I'm 'high maintenance'. But give me stamping/papercraft stuff and I'm a giggling fool!!! ;) Why would he think that's high maintenance?

Too funny but true. I'd much rather have some new craft item than jewelry. And how high maintenance can we be ?? Geez, tell me how much you want to spend on me for whatever holiday you are shopping for and I'll order more stamping stuff for myself. - Which is what my hubby has finally figured out! He tells me how much he was going to spend and I do it for him.

Hahaha; I was good too; some of the items were VERY hard to resist, but my SU demo dropped off a nice box of goodies I had ordered so I didn't DARE spend anything else! I really would have liked that matting tool though! Maybe next time!

Are you talking about the perfect layers? I'm not a demo but the rumor is that it's in the winter mini ;)
