I am curious to see if anyone is going to attempt the 12 Days of Christmas Tags this year (Tim Holtz Blog)? For the first time, I am going to try to get one done each day...I would love to see samples if anyone else is playing with tags!
Edit: I hope it's OK with you, Beedle, for me to edit this 1st post with each day's blog link.
Cris
I've finished my first one - just waiting for the sun to peek out so that I can take a photo of it. Hopefully it will be on my blog and on my gallery later on today. I too would love to see anyone's samples!
I'm working on a tag for day two as well!!
I'm going home tonight to make the first two tags. I am anxious to see your tags. I like how we can all follow the same directions yet our tags will all be a little different!

Could you attach the blog address? I haven't seen this before.
I haven't been able to make any tags yet (funeral today), but I have a strong desire to try at least a couple of tags this month. I'll have to make some product substitutions, but I think I finally have enough Ranger products this year to really participate and do them justice.
I'm hoping to attempt them at some point. I'll most likely do a "marathon" tag making sesison. Gotta gather all the gool things he's using. The metal flower is my fav so far. Wish Mario hadn't got booted from Twitter. It was fun to play Q&A with him. I don't do Facebook, to all I can do at this point is "watch from the sidelines" during the Q&A. I'm loooking forward to seeing how everyone else's tags look.

I don't know if I'll get all the tags made, but I've got projects started that stimmed from T!m's inspiration. I'd love to do all the tags, but I'm lacking quite a few of the main ingredient's. I'll have to see what I can modify
Honestly? LOL, I'll probably do what I've done in previous years. Zealously follow the blog, marvel over the finished tags and tutorials for them, imagine myself making them,

and that's it. Again.
That's about how far I would get!>g

i do them every year but i can't always do them along with him - i have not gotten to any yet this year but i will. i also go back and do them a 2nd tim throughout the year in different themes, birthday, easter, etc
Oh wow, that first tag is INCREDIBLE!!!!!!! I love how he did the icicles using the stickles!!! Tfs these with us - I don't think I'll be able to do something quite that elaborate, but I might attempt something similar!!!

Thanks for sharing this blog info! I have been wanting to learn how to use this new ink and dabber stuff I have been buying up little by little! THis looks like a great way to see some ideas on their uses!
I've started doing them this year...I've also commented with a little Christmas rhyme (think 12 Days of Christmas) that I will add to each day.
Check out my blog (below my signature) for a peek at today's rhyme
I'm working on the 4th tag now...since I'm a "frugal scrapper" I'm trying NOT to buy anything to complete the tags, so of course, there's alot of substituting...
Enjoy

I am with Betsy. I marvel and imagine but nothing much happens. I think part of it is the supply list always seems long and the steps too involved. I so enjoy looking though!!
You would be surprised to find once you get started it works out. Then you can always add your own things to it. I love how now you get pictures of what he is doing.
I'm playing along & am having a ton of fun. I don't have many of his stamps or any metal findings, but I'm still having fun. I have enough of the products he's using to enjoy myself. This is the first year I've had the time to do this many tags & I'm excited about it. JIL
I'm following Tim's blog and LOVE his tags! I am making tags, but, they don't look much like his as I am trying to use the supplies I have on hand. I did post one of my tags last night. It's a plaid santa tag. I'd post a link to it in my gallery, but, I'm not sure how. -Diane
I RE-CREATED ONE OF THE TAGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It turned out SOOOO nice!!!! Whenever I get a chance, I'll upload it to my gallery, and post the link here - I want to see what your thoughts are on it!!!

OMG. I am sooo excited! I have been looking at his tags daily and leaving a comment each day. When I just went on his blog to look at today's tag, I saw that I am one of the winners from yesterday! I usually never win things so I just about fell out of my chair! I don't know what the prize will be but all that matters is that it was from Tim! I am a huge fan. I just had to share. Thanks for listening!

Can anyone tell me what a size #8 tag is? What are the dimensions, cause I don't know what that is. I do have some small tags, but they aren't listed on the package by number. TIA. Karen

According to this website a #8 tag is 3 1/8" wide by 6 1/4" long. I've checked some other places, and they are all saying those dimensions.
Thank you so much!! I am not familiar with the tags, so wasn't sure what the numbers meant!! Check out Tim's new tag today!! The old SU! stamp set with the truck and the tree would be perfect for this!!
Lori, your tags look terrific!! And I noticed on one of them, you actually didn't use a TAG! Was that just paper cut to size, or am I looking at it wrong? LOL...since I don't have actual tags, maybe I can do that? Can you cut the paper to size, and make them that way?
Your picture hasn't been approved yet, so we can't see your tag!! I think because it's Sunday, and you aren't supposed to download stuff? I'm sure it will be up tomorrow!! I too, made a couple of tags today. But mine are very simple, one layer tags!! But I'm getting there!!
