If you have several of them hung on the same wall - how far are you spacing them under each other so that you can still get your punches out easily?
I hope that makes sense!
Thanks!

About 11.5" apart. That gives enough room for a medium deep basket between each one, or a shallow basket and the large SU punches on top of the bar underneath it. A large deep basket just barely fits.
If I could redo it, I would add an extra inch so I could put the large deep basket without worrying about whether I'm putting punches on top of the bar or not.
The rails are about 8" apart (from top nail to top nail holding the rails). I love it!
Thanks so much for taking the time to measure it! I was playing around with it and figured about 8-8.5 inches for just the bars! I love your set up!
I appreciate everyone taking to the time to measure, etc! The gals on SCS are so helpful!

ok, i'm hi-jacking this thread but it's related....
in your older pic, you show 7 large punches on a rail. but in the newer pic, it doesn't even look like 7 would fit. are they the same rails? and which ones [what length] are they?
Bygel rails come in two different lengths, that may be what you are noticing.
Putting the Bygel rails into wood instead of the wall is a cool idea.
Mine are in the wall but are next to each other so depth hasn't been a concern. I have a desk 14 inches below the bottom of the round thing that the screws/nails go into. Hope that makes sense. That means that I have plenty of room to put things on the desk like buckets etc.
I plan on buying more Bygel rods for a different wall and may put them in up down order like you ladies have done.
I actually spaced my differently. The smaller punches don't need a full 8 inches. If you're short on space, keep that in mind. I actually got two more rails in for small & medium punches doing it this way.

Oh sorry that was confusing, wasn't it. Yes 7 large punches will fit (I just checked) I think I just spread them out more now. These are the shorter length rails. I have the longer length on an opposite wall with several buckets hanging that I love to.
