Default Things that make you go hmmmmm

Check out one of the new summer release stamp sets from Hero Arts
http://www.stampingonline.com/item.h...0&PRID=1521622

Does it look like something we've seen before? I know there is "inbreeding" in the stamp world...one company comes up with a design and the others imitate. In my experience it's been SU copying the Hero Arts style...it's nice to see HA copy SU for a change.

Secretly hoping SU has a set of ribbon stamps in the new catty (although I own the first HA set and may have to get the summer release too ;)

You know what, some of SU Christmas stamps look very much like Penny Black ones too.

Check out the other neat ones they have coming out here:
http://www.stampingonline.com/catego...4965%7C1319420

Neat stitched squares, more ribbon stamps and others!
I love SU but I also love that there are other people making stamps too. SU can't possibly make everything. SU has such great prices and I like mounting my stamps the way I want them (when I got Hero Arts Ribbons and Stitches set I unmounted several of them and customized them!) so my collection will probably always be mostly SU. But hey, if it's a stamp I might need it! LOL

I like our Wonderful Words better. Those Hero Arts ones are too nicely written!

I like the SU ones better too, but I do wish SU would come out with some of those words like cherish and treasure. Funny I never noticed SU's style looking like Hero Arts or the reverse. Guess I will have to pay more attention.LOL

Hugs!

Yeah, but . . . DeNami did that style long before SU. As a wise person once said . . . "there's nothing new under the sun."

There are so many companies out there and they often have designs that are simular, I suppose if designers are trying to keep with the latest trends there is only so much they can do.

I am please Hero has done those words, I love the ideas with them, but seeing that SU arent here I cant use them in magazines or classes, so now I can play. I had made do with a Penny Black wording stamp, like the SU it has a long trail but it only had one at the end and not the beginning but that worked find for the flower stem idea which went down a storm in my class the other week!

OK at the risk of asking a LAME question. . . ribbon stamp? Does that mean a long narrow stamp or is it a stamp that you actually use on ribbon?

Oh man, some of those are really cool. Hero Arts in my second favorite stamp company (after SU of course). I can't wait to get some of those!

I'm not too impressed with Hero Arts. That's not to say that some of their stamps aren't really nice. I just find the verstility we get from Stampin' Up far out does what I have seen with any other company. So as a result my stamps are only SU STamps and my ink and cardstock are only ST products. I believe it's the best and I stand behind the products.

TFS everyone..JMHO

If I'm looking for a very specific stamp, I won't expect SU! to have it. I've bought a stamp of a clarinet (for DD), a soccer ball (before SU! had their current sport set), several baseball stamps (don't like the old-timey ones SU! has had), St. Pat's stamps, and a few others that are not SU!.

One of you ladies said SU! can't have everything, and that is surely true!!!

I've often thought that the Petal Prints and More Petal Prints look like the Real Flower series from Hero Arts.

Default cool

I saw some cool stamp sets in their new "summer" section. I love all the stitching stamp sets and the new ribbon stamp sets. WAY cool! Too bad I am saving my pennies for the new colors and new catty right now! :(

The only stamp companies I have EVER heard of are SU and CTMH. I knew you could get the singles at Michael's etc - but never knew these companies had "sets"!

I'm now not sure if I should thank you for letting my find those cool words or curse you - my budget is slim as it is!!!! LOL!

OH the decisions decisions! What ever is a girl to do!??? I'm thinkin a quick yard sale - my kids don't need ALL those toys and clothes..... LOL!

Smiles
