Default Is there anything out there like Crystal Effects

Is that what it is called? I just ordered from my SU demo but I forgot that I really wanted this. So I was wondering if there was anything out there like it.

Thanks for your help!

I use Glossy Accents by Ranger, I was able to pick it up at Hobby Lobby. I know that Michael's carries something similar, but I can't remember the name. ;)

Sakura Hobby Crafts makes something called 3-D Lacquer. I think it is the same thing. It is also called Glassy Glaze, but I can't remember who makes that.

Judikins makes Diamond Glaze which is the same as Crystal Effects. I may be dreaming but I think I saw it at Michaels a couple of trips ago. I ordered mine from www.judikins.com HTH. May God bless, Sandi

All of these are different brand names for clear liquid dimensional adhesive. (Say THAT fast three times, lol!) They might vary in density, but all of them are relatively interchangeable. Royal Plaid also makes it... Whatever, it's yummy stuff!

Sakura's Crystal Lacquer comes in lots of COLORS, which is fantastic! You can also add drops of ink to it if you want to color-match something. Oh, and since it IS really an adhesive, don't forget it's an awesome, very strong glue, too!

Glassy Glaze is what Stampin Up calls our ultra thick embossing enamel. (aka UTEE)

You can get diamond glaze and glossy effect from www.Impressrubberstamps.com

They are exactly the same as crystal effects.

I use Judikins Diamond Glaze and love it! I get mine at Michael's or AC Moore--I wish I could buy it by the gallon! It's alot like the SU crystal effects.

Plaid has a similar product called "Royal Dimensional Coat" that is essentially the same thing.

I am pretty sure Royal Coat is more like Mod Podge than Crystal effects...Royal doesn't leave the same effect when dry.

I love Crystal Effects and I'm a demo but I'm also really partial to Ranger's Glossy Accents. I like the smaller applicator tip a little better.

I use Glossy Accents. It's the best and a little goes a long way. You can even use it as a glue

I used Aleene's paper glaze (I think that's what hotwheels is describing) - never used the Crystal Effects, so can't compare but from what I have heard, it's the same thing - I have used the Ranger Glossy Accents and it's basically the same

Clear Drying Adhesive is available under many different brand names, including:
  • Plaid Liquid Embossing in Clear
  • JudiKins Diamond Glaze
  • Ranger Glossy Accents
  • SU! Crystal Effects
  • Sakura 3D Crystal Lacquer
  • Aleene's Paper Glaze
  • Plaid Clear Gallery Glass Paint

And, probably a few more that I can't remember off the top of my head! ;)

HTH,
