Default Technique Scrapbook update

Hello, ladies. Wednesday I made my first post (reply to the Mad Stamper). Then Thursday I responded to a challenge for the kissing technique by posting two pages from a technique club that I just finished for my niece's group (I am a Stampin' UP! demonstrator.) I received so many comments and requests that today I posted the remainder of the pages. There is an example page and a tutorial page for each one. You can see them all together in my gallery if you are interested:

A number of people commented that they wished someone would give them one of these as a gift, or that they didn't have time to do one. One lady asked if could sell her one. (I'd love to, but it is too much work to do just one, and I would charge A LOT!) What I suggested is that she host a technique swap, which she has already posted.

That's how I got started. When I first became a demonstrator, I participated in an ABC technique book swap. The host made up silly names for the techniques, like A is for Amazing Plaidmaker and X is for X-treme Embossing. So we ended up with 26 techniques and a title page. I always took the technique book to workshops and everyone loved it.

When my niece's group wanted to do a club for 6 months they requested a technique book of their own. I must admit, it was a lot of work, as I designed the pages and wrote out the tutorials myself. And we did two sets of pages each month. I really put the effort in because it was for family and friends.

If you don't have time to just sit down and make a technique book, talk to your demonstrators about doing a monthly club. It was a lot of fun, and my group was thrilled with the results. They are now off busily putting them into practice.

And thanks to all of you for your wonderful comments and compliments. I LOVE SCS!!!

Thanks for sharing. You did a beautiful job . I can see all the hard work you put into your pages. I signed up for the swap because I love what you did so much. It is a great idea .

How totally awesome! Would you be willing to attach your tutorial documents here? I wasn't able to read all of them.

Thanks so much!

Yes, sorry about that. One set of pics I forgot to crop before I submitted it. Unfortunately, I spaced out and didn't save all of them. However, I will attach the ones I have. They are Word documents set up to print 4 to a page for 8 1/2 x 11 card stock. You can highlight and type over the first section. Then copy and paste to the other three sections. We'll see momentarily if it will let me attach all at the same time.

I forgot we can only add 3 at a time. There are 6 (don't have the other 4).

What an AWESOME idea!!! I am a book junkie of the design sort - I have my own little black book that I have all my sets stamped into, sketches of card designs I want to try, quotes etc I want to use in scrapbooking or to print out on transparencies for cards, etc etc. A technique scrapbook would be a really cool thing to have. I am going to suggest this to my demo as a potential 10-4-10 club project!

Really cool idea!

I am so glad you took the time to work all this out for your group. Also, for taking the time to share it with us. My, this was a lot of work and we would all benefit from the experience of making the complete book.

I am definitely going to take the time to make one of these technique books. I would also like to share it with the stamping group that I am in, if you would give permission. I am sure they would like to make one similar to it, then I can share with them your instructions.

Thank you again for all the excellent work.
