The Winter 2007 Take Ten has arrived, and I'm sure that once again, plenty of SCS'rs are in there. Since for some of us, it is difficult to translate your SCS name to your given name, please chime in with what pages you are on.
Look for mine (Nina Tarnuzzer) on page 11, 17, 19, and 22 (two). (Yeah, I'm thrilled.)
I think there are plenty of "true" ten minute cards this time, and I see Kathy Milano has a whole page of "Unfrogettable" cards on page 96. Asela Hopkins has a beautiful one on page 110.
It's published by Stampingtion Publishing and you can order one on-line if they are not available at a bookstore near you. They also publish Stampers Sampler, among others.
I see Julie Ebersole on page 62 and 117 (sooo cute)
And Lisa Johnson is (at least) on pages 31,37, 38, 54, 69, 79, 89, and 109

I think Julie made the cover! Is there a card with cute boxer shorts? That's hers! I might have to break down and buy this one with so many of my 'sisters' in it!!! That is, if they don't sell out in a hurry.

this was supposed to be avail on Dec 1 so it looks like some people put it out early. It is usually avail at Michaels and Joanns so keep looking, but it may not be there until next week. It usually is $15 so a 40% coupon works just dandy!

I suspect that the people that have it in hand right now received the copy in the mail because their work was published in it. Everyone else waits at least until Dec 1st for a peek - Barnes and Noble is notorious for not bothering to get it on the shelf for a full week after it should be out...

I haven't bought the las couple, but am going to get this one. I think if you have 4 or 5 that is planty to give you inspiration, but since I skipped several, I am due for one dontya think? Congrats Julie on the cover. Are the cover art commissioned, or by-chance submissions?

It is a publication by Stampington that comes out 4 times a year. The cards in it are supposed to be able to make in 10 minutes or less. HTH! Happy Thanksgiving everyone.

The cover is a pale (ice) blue with eight close up shots showing details of cards featured inside. Julie Ebersole's is on there - a little pair of boxer shorts on a clothes line with a tiny clothes pin.
The complimentary copies arrived this week, and should be on shelves by Dec 1 (Next week). Publisher is on west coast, so it seems to take longer to hit the stands in the east. Most of the featured cards are from reader submissions and there's lots of SU! cards.
Big announcement- Tilly is has a THREE PAGE feature of her cards on pages 26, 27 and 28 - just gorgeous, quick cards. A total of NINE cards featured. Awesome, huh? She makes them for Chemoangels and also donates them to the local hospice (in New Zealand). Hats off and three cheers for Tilly!!!!

I was just at B&N Tuesday and they still didnt have the Winter issue in I'll have to make a trip there this weekend.
Congrats to all who had their cards published :p
I would be stunned if they had it out on the shelf before Dec 1st. The b&N I go to will not bother to get it out until Dec 20th at the earliest!

Yes, it started out as a "special" issue, an expansion of the Take Ten regular feature in Stampers Sampler, and has since expanded to a quarterly magazine. There is a tremendous demand for quick, simple cards.
Congratulations Lisa! Your wonderful cards are scattered through the entire issue. And I agree, this one is the best so far (clearly not speaking for my own), particularly for "real" ten minute cards. That has been a topic of discussion in this thread in the past.

I know what you are saying about "ten Minute cards"...the thing I try to remember is that it may take longer to design a card...but only ten minutes to recreate it...I think that's what they are looking for...being able to re-create it in 10 min. I consider myself a pretty slow designer...so very few cards I create take less than a half an hour to design.

Congratulations to all of you. Can't wait until the issues are out on the stands. I was in both Michaels and B&N this weekend and didn't see the new Take Ten on the shelf. Michael's has really put a halt on the magazines they are selling. I don't know if our Michael's will have the new Take Ten or not. I hope they do so I can use my coupon.

congratulations to all the ladies who were brave enough to submit their work and double congratulations to the ones who made it in!!! I am never brave enough to send in mine!
Thanks!

Oh, I agree - ten minutes to replicate, all design process excluded. And I think they also exclude time to develop *master boards* of collage materials as those have been featured. Not to mention *drying* time for stuff that has to dry.

Lisa, thank you so much for writing this. I too am slow designer (I'm super slow ) and have never submitted because of this. This opens up a whole new realm of possibility to me.
Here's hoping I too can be published with all of you fabulous ladies someday!

That is about right too. Just about a week ago I saw they had a bunch of the Fall TT's..very fresh like they just unpacked them!! Barnes and Noble is the worst when it comes to TT...they are clueless about when they are expected, etc.

My chicken card is on page 5! Of course, they have me listed as Sarah Peak from Brattleboro, Utah instead of Sarah Peale from Brattleboro, Vermont...but oh well!

That's so cool Sarah~Congrats-even with the misprint on your name!
Congratulations to all those who have cards published this issue. Can't wait to get mine (the freebie copy takes a bit longer to get to me here in New Zealand). Thanks very much Nina for scanning the pages of my cards and e-mailing them to me so I didn't have to wait so long to see them!

Congratulations to everyone who got published. I am curious to see this Take Ten. They have ventured so far away from the original Take Ten concept that I have not bothered to buy the recent ones. But seeing some of the talent that is in there, I will look for it.
