I was very surprised to come home today and find the latest Take Ten magazine in my mailbox. The reason this is surprising is because I hadn't submitted anything to them since the summer of '06. So I wasn't sure I'd even recognize my card, but I did, and it's one I actually submitted in 2004. I had no idea they kept submissions for five years! The moral of the story is, if you've submitted cards to a magazine, never give up hope of being published. :-)

2004, now that is a long time. I know I've had some published two years after submitting, but I'd give up after that.
And what happens when you move house and the period of mail being re-directed is over, LOL. You might never know.
Sorry, didn't think to post the page number. I was more interested in the 5 year time lag than the actual card. Anyway, it's the elephant card on pg 58. It's an all SU! card, but I suspect the stamps are all retired long ago. And it's also in Take Ten, and I'm sure it took me more than 10 minutes to make (they always put my cards in Take Ten, I guess my stuff looks simple).

Wow, congrats! You get published all the time, that is just too cool! I've only made it twice. One took 2 years and it took me the longest time to find my card because I forgot what I submitted!!
