Tac just increased our mins to 200 per 4 minths. May not seem like alot to the su girls but i cant afford it. I guess they are pushing out the hobbygals like me. I dont have all the info, didnt get a chance to read ut all
does our discount stay at 25 off? i am confused. Why cant they make One document and not a million? lol So the min is 200 per quarter or every 4 months? if it indeed 200 a quarter and not 25 off I wont stay either. I plan on spending more money with sugar nellie, victoria case and others. The new catalog better wow me. I am not interested in doing it as a business. Tac is indeed trying to weed out the hobbyists. Oh well.

Thanks, I will still be around SCS, mostly lurking. I realized that my mojo is gone. I haven't made one card in 4 months, and I just can't justify the expense anymore. I was thinking about leaving before the plan came out and this just helped. It was fun I will give it that... Thanks
I'm probably done. Going from $300 to $800 per year is way too big of a jump for me. Oh well, one more catalog. Good luck to all you business demos - looks like a great plan for you!
Am I wrong or did TAC promise they they WEREN'T going to raise the minimums?
I think it stinks that the GWP program is gone too. Sigh.

Oh man, getting rid of GWP is awful. I can't believe they decided to do that!
I love love love TAC's images, product but I unfortunately stepped down because I didn't like some of their changes and even if I hadn't left in Jan, I would've def. left after hearing this!

Instead of the free gift with purchase stamps,
TAC will be a offering purchase with purchase stamp.
With a $30 order you can select a stamp that will be larger than the usual gwp, for the price of $2.95

Me either! And they were so small! I like the idea of larger ones even if they cost $3. I remember when we had to charge tax on the GWPs a few years ago. What a pain that was!

I am with you. I am a single mom and YES 66.66 a month is too much. I already cant afford some of the meds I take. So I cant support nor justify spending that a month on stamps.
I will have to find a rep close by and do that. I have till January before I have to start making the new minimums.
Yes, these changes will definitely be very difficult for many, especially the hobbyist and those struggling with/for customers. But for those who want to try to make this a business these changes are wonderful. I will lose my downline, probably all of them, unless I can encourage them and help them more. But I will do my best and keep on keeping on. At least we have until Jan. 1 before this new plan takes effect.

I think I'm going to gracefully "fade away" from my demo-ship. (I was just a hobbyist anyhow.) Actually, I think I probably didn't even qualify for the new catalog. (oops) I do understand that TAC probably needed to do this for the profit aspect so no hard feelings from me. At least it is better than hearing they are shutting down. (Like so many of the craft magazines.)
I'm trying to be one of those "use what you have now" folks. I have way too much stuff as it is so I'm really spending as much as I used to.

I think you may find some good discussions going on over on Paperwings for TAC demos and I read that Mischelle will have a website dedicated to answering questions and concerns over the new plan. Change is always hard to take - I remember when I first signed up the catalog had just gone to using cling and had dropped the Tack It Over method. That caused huge ripples and then when they dropped wood blocks, another huge uproar.
Give it a chance to soak in - there will be ups and downs to anything but I know they are trying to do what is best for us as well as them.
I'm out too...Too many things in life are more important than spending money on stamps right now...With so many folks out of work and their homes...there is no way I can make $200 every 3 months...

i cant justify spending 66 a month on stuff I wont use. I am not a business demo like you.
This is very frustrating and sad news for me. I am currently with CTMH and turned my resignation in to them just today only to find out that TAC is making changes. Now I am going to have to think long and hard before signing up. I am not a hard core business person, but neither am I only a hobbiest. I do craft shows and thought TAC would be much better for me. Sheesh, just when I thought I had finally made a decision about what to do.
For an "in-between" demo, I still think TAC is a great way to go. I'm not a "hard-core" business builder and will never earn the cruise, but TAC is my best option. Jenniewren--especially since you do craft shows, the TAC Angel policy is great for you! I'm just sorry you feel trapped since you just resigned from CTMH.
I'm disappointed about some of the new plan's aspects, but see a very good side to some of the other points. I'm ready to see how it all pans out.
Oh, and I think I'll no longer be a "manager" after this takes effect. THat's sad for me. I'll live thru it, though! LOL

Everyone is going to react to the new plan differently based on what they want to achieve with the company. Some are going to be happy, some mad, some OK, and so on. Some will stay and some will leave. Change is never easy. Just breathe... life goes on... For those of you who leaving, I wish you well. For those of you who are staying, its another twist in the journey but we're all up to the challenge.
I agree that for some it will be wonderful as a business builder. But for me it will push me out. I spend about $450 a year and that is with others ordering. The rest of my craft money goes to other companies. I have lowered my craft budget twice so far this year due to lower incomes. By January I will not be with Tac anymore. :(

 Like Diana I'm dropping quickly down the scale - I just went from Executive to Supervisor. And my sales? They are a third of what they were...but I'm just saying hang in there for a while to see how things fall out and when it's less emotional, that's when you make the choice. You never know what's around the bend!
Now if you don't like or use the stuff, then that's a totally different situation and change is necessary. Good luck...
Hmmm....I'm just now making good friends at work that are interested in stamping/scrapbooking and have been putting a plan together (gotta plan around our crazy work schedules because we all work different nights now), but now I'm going to have some decisions to make. I sure hope the new catalog is good!
I have wanted to make this a business for quite some time and I am hoping this gives me the push I need as I have just kept putting it off. I won't give up right away as there could still be changes to come. Currently I buy quite a bit of non-TAC products, but since I want this as a business I am going to start purchasing everything I can from myself. That alone will be a big help with the minimums, along with the 20% or so commission. And I know the prices will most likely go up, but you still get more for your money with TAC. It is still better than the other minimums out there. And you can't beat the angel policy! I switched to another company before and regretted it and came back to be an Angel.

I, too, lost some status and will lose most of my downline due to the minimum sales quota. But this change may be what I need to quit being complacent about my sales and go after them. I think the plan is great, otherwise, as to having a good downline and commissions. I've already contacted a few of my customers and may have 2 parties next month. I'm now doing a monthly newsletter with a simple technique included and the monthly specials. Got one customer excited about the Purchase with Purchase stamps. I'm not going to let this change get me down but will make more of a business out of it. I don't order from other companies and RARELY have other company products on my blog. There I really push TAC and some of my customers read it faithfully. This should pay off in the long run.

SU! went through all of these changes a while back- it was hard on quite a few I remember- they didn't raise minimums but changes compensation plans to encourage more recruiting/sales etc. I remember many hobbyists felt slighted.
Good luck to you all- sometimes change is good-it opens new doors and avenues that weren't there previously.

Hi Lisa! (waving)
Sorry to hear about the changes ladies. That stinks! :( I think TAC might lose a lot of demos because of this. I am guessing a lot of people signed up with TAC instead of other companies not only because the stamp sets are very nice but also to get the discounts because the minimums were more attainable before and that this will push them over budget. That is too bad. We will see how long I can continue being a SU demo, our minimums are even higher.
Yes, its official I will be leaving TAC in January.
I jumped ship from SU to Tac because of the lower minimums, I am only a hobbyist. Now it seems as if TAC wants to rid itself of hobbyist too. I personally think TAC is making a grave mistake by implementing these changes in such an unsettled economy. I certainly hope I am wrong and that they thrive as a company for years to come. We'll see.

I'm trying to be one of those "use what you have now" folks. I have way too much stuff as it is so I'm really spending as much as I used to.
same here, with everything going up, who can afford to buy much anymore..
my $66.00 goes to co-pays to cover my daughters Dr. visits that she needs a couple times a month..
i have so much stuff that I NEED to stop buying!!
maybe in the future I will do it again, but for now, I too will be fading away unless the new catty blows me away..
I know that I won't make the $200 a quarter as a hobby. Everytime SU girls have to make their quota, they just list themselves on Craigslist, giving the full demonstrators discount.
I have MS and am homebound and on disability. I just started in April because someone had stated that TAC was not going to raise its quota. Now I have all this demo stuff-papers, order blanks, invitations.
So either I stay on, and go on Craigslist with TAC, or I stop. My BFF is a SU demo, so I can always get stuff through her.
I'd have never spent the money on the whole kit and kaboodle if I would have known that I'd be done in 3 months. Am I ticked??? Yep, sure am.
