I just found out that I am pregnant....yea!! This will be my second and for this one I want to do a little more than just tell the grandparents (the first time we were so excited we just told them). I was wondering if anyone has made any "surprise we're pregnant" cards or have any ideas? I have hit a mental block - morning sickness will do that to ya! Thanks for looking and for any ideas!

We told our parents on Thanksgiving so the front looked like a regular thanksgivings card. On the inside I had a copy of the ultrasound on the right side of the card, and on the left side I used the Stampin' up baby stamp from All in the Family. I had a word bubble from the baby saying, "Hi, Grandpa and Grandma. I love you!"

I have an idea but it is not a card. My best friend bought a t-shirt for her first daughter that said "I have big news" on the front and "I'm going to be a big sister" on the back. We were camping with them and it was just us (the hubbies went to work) and she did not say a thing. I freaked when I saw her shirt.
I have a charm bracelet and when my daughter found out she was pregnant, she made me a card and attached a charm with the expected birth stone of the baby so I could add it to my bracelet.
I remember a long time ago, a friend cut out a picture of a baby and along with a note that she'd written, she wrapped it in a box with a big bow and gave it to the grandparents. Good luck..
Here's an idea - a variation on what I did many years ago:
Get a pink balloon and a blue balloon (helium filled) and/or "It's a Girl" and "It's a Boy" balloons. Attach a card to the end and have it delivered to the person you are telling. Inside put something like "Guess what? We're expecting! It's a girl or a boy! We just can't wait to find out."
Not a card idea, but we've told our parents by giving them baby themed picture frames (usually a silver frame with baby stuff on it so it's gender neutral) and put a note in the frame saying to expect a picture in approximately X weeks/months. We did that when we were preggo with our first. When I was preggo with our second, we took pictures of Blake in his "I'm the Big Brother" t-shirts and then just placed a few of them (like 4) in a frame we found that had 8 openings. It took my Mom forever to figure it out the second time. She thought we had just given her some pictures of Blake and that it was cool the frame had extra openings for her 4 other grandkids. : )
Good luck with the pregnancy and have fun telling your parents! I'm sure you'll come up with something really good from all of the ideas people are suggesting.

Not sure about a card, but when I was pregant with my 2nd I found out 1 week before father's day and managed to keep the secret to myself for that week and on Father's day I gave DH a package that had a pair of booties that sais I [heart] daddy.
How wonderful!!!
We put our daughter in a "I'm the big sister" t shirt and had her wear it the whole day. She just kept talking to my parents about getting a big girl bed and new sheets etc. because the baby needed the crib...it took my parents about 1/2 hour before it dawned on them what she was talking about....we called my aunt too and told her that I thought she was a pretty good aunt...but she would be a great aunt someday...it took her awhile to figure it out too, but that makes it all the more fun.
I had a REALLY hard time getting pregnant 7 years between my girls! With the 2nd I stuck a sweet little lamb in the shopping bags for my hubbie to find while unloading groceries, he stared at it for a couple of minutes before it sank in! A girlfriend of mine gave her inlaws a box with a baby gown inside, they totaly lost it, in a good way!!
Good luck and enjoy suprising them!
Just had an idea: I think you can get plastic "bubbles" for scrapbooking--they're used to hold a memento or small object on a scrapbook page. How about stamping a pic of a baby and laying it under one of the bubbles? I'm not sure what you would use for a sentiment for this--maybe, ""clearly," you can "expect" to hear some good news soon."

I remember seeing a project Lauren Meader made (last year???), that was a little paper oven, with a bun inside. I don't know if it's a template she has for sale, or if you could do a modified box and make your own. I thought it was really cute when I saw it.
Thanks for all of the wonderful ideas. I think I'm going to get a frame that has two opening. Put a picture of my daugter in a "Big Sister" shirt in the first spot and a copy of the ultrasound in the second. This way my daughter gets to be a part of the fun too. Thanks again!

I think the framed picture is a wonderful idea. We wrapped up a baby blanket and bottle to let our older sons give to the grandparents and aunts. The boys enjoyed it so much...especially after they saw the excitement of my mom who was the first to open the box. It helped them to be involved. That was a good thing too because they were 11 and 9 at the time. Upon receiving the news of a new baby, both boys started crying and my 9 year old exclaimed, 'I wanted a horse'!
That same 9 year old, Kyle, later would sing 'Twinkle Twinkle Little Star' to my tummy every night. The day his youngest brother (yes, boy #3) was born and started to cry, he instantly became calm when Kyle held him and sang the song to him....but I think he still would have preferred a horse.
When I was pregnant with our first I made a little gift bag with all kinds of baby stuff in it and on the bottom I put the pregnancy test for him to see.
With our second I was not able to do anything because my bubby was on deployment and I just told him on the phone once he was able to call.

Congrats!
With kid #2 I made a "puzzle" for my mom that said I was pregnant and then sent it to her. Made her put it together.
Kid #3 or 4, I can't remember which (sad, I know), I attached one of those "ticker" things to my email signature. And then just emailed everybody a photo of my other kids and waited for people to figure it out. It took my mom FOREVER and she had to have someone else point it out to her, LOL!
So good luck deciding!
That's what my cousin and his wife did with all their parents at Christmas and then had a picture of the u/s inside.
The funny thing is that she is due the same month as her birthday and their eldest's birthday day so the front just made the grandparents think of that. LOL
Yesterday I forgot to post these cards that I made. I handed out these cards once we found out if we were having a boy or girl. We ended up having a baby girl (she's 3 weeks old now).
