Katherine,
I'm sad there haven't been more replies to your request. I see this thread is now on page 2. If you post it again, will it move to p.1? I commented on 2 cards in the gallery today that would make nice sympathy cards so I told the ladies that made them about your request. I asked them to PM me if they want your address. I hope you get lots more replies! Thanks, again for doing this. You are so thoughtful!
Janie

Thanks for passing along this information to others. Whenever someone posts, the thread gets bumped up to the top again. I've got another thread going on the Demo side, and there's quite a bit of interest there. I've also gotten many PMs. I'm really hoping to get lots and lots of cards!
To date, SIXTY-TWO SPLITCOAST SISTAHS have offered to help these families. Many of you have also reached out to your own network of friends, family, and customers to join us in this effort. Once again, I am awed by the love and support of the people on this site. Thanks to all of you.

I made a card and had all our church youth group sign it today. It really hit home for me. I have a 20yr old son in college here in Mass. I will be mailing you my card tomorrow. Thanks for giving us chance to let the familys of these students and teacher know that we are keeping them in our hearts and minds.
I just ran accross this post and would like to know if I am too late to make some cards. I would have to get started on them tomorrow. Let me know as I am here in VA and feel this very strongly.
Check out this week's color challenge, which is Bravo Burgandy and Pumpkin Pie, in honor of the VT victims. My husband and I personally know 2 families that lost loved ones, so I'm collecting cards for those families through this challenge.

I've started to receive cards in the mail, lots of them, and once again I am overwhelmed by how kind and loving you all are! You have certainly restored my faith in humanity, which had taken a pretty big hit in the last week.
Katherine, I finally finished mine, I'll get it into the mail for you. How shall I address the envy that the card should go in, should I put it in an envy? (I have your address)
Does this makes sense? It looks and sounds like I could have said this without being so confusing. I'm having a hard day.

what a great idea!
I just read about the student that went home after the shootings to stay with his family and then was in a car accident, rolled his car and died. How tragic!

Misti, the cards don't need to go in individual envelopes. I will separate them into equal piles for each family, then send them off all at once. Great question -- thanks for asking!
Katherine, I am hoping to get mine in the mail 1st thing tomorrow; I'm so glad you'll be able to spread them around and hope you have enough for all the families; Thank you for doing this and helping us do what little we can.

I will keep forwarding cards as long as I receive them! I'm sure that these families will be suffering for a very long time. Thanks so much to you and everyone who has sent cards already. The response has been outrageous, and I am so proud to be a part of this awesome group.
I should get mine in the mail tomorrow. I had a MAJOR fund raiser last Thursday, so I did not get them done until this weekend. My card club is meeting this Friday, so I think we'll make some as a group also. Thanks again for doing this!

Good morning, Misti. I got your envelope yesterday -- thank you, thank you, thank you! Your cards are awesome. How did you make the "With Sympathy" sticker? I love how they are in the VA Tech colors, and especially how each one has a different and unique embellishment on it. Nice touch!
As of Friday, May 04, 2007, I have received 326 handmade sympathy cards for the VA Tech families. When you think about how much time it takes to make just one of these babies, it blows the mind to think about the awesome amount of time, effort and supplies that went into crafting 326 of them! It is obvious that each one was made with tremendous loving care. Individually, they are works of art. Collectively, they are a beautiful statement about who we are as a family of crafters. And so, to those of you who have sent cards already and those who will be sending cards in the near future, I thank you from the bottom of my heart.
