Do you use it? I'm definitely wheel-impaired. I overlap sometimes or leave too much space other times. Perhaps this would be a good purchase for me. What do you think?

I have it and wish I hadn't wasted the money - it's waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too much hassle for me. I honestly think that the only real remedy for the wheel-challenged is to practice, practice, practice. ANd, just in case no one's ever mentioned it to you before:
1) stand up
2) roll away from you at a diagonal
3) go SLOW! - it's not a race just because it's a wheel
4) Jumbo wheels are much easier than standard
Good luck - it will get better - just keep practicing with it!
I LOVE my wheel guide! I was also wheel challenged and could not for the life of me wheel straight! Now I use my wheels alot and have no trouble getting them straight. After experimenting, I now know just how far to move the guide down so I don't overlap the images. I think it was a VERY worthwhile purchase and I am very glad I got one!

I LOVE my wheel guide. It takes just a little practice to get it right, but it's a totally worthwhile investment, especially if you're like me and just can't get it straight.
I LOVE mine-I use it not only for wheeling but as a guide for scoring and it works better than a ruler. I have done a lot more wheeling with the smaller wheels with teh guide on things like gift bags. I dig it!

I have to say, I'm a wheel toward me kinda gal. But everything else in the list -- stand up, go slow, jumbo is easier -- I agree with!
I do like the wheel guide if I want specific placement of my images. I can't go straight without it.
Now, I've gone through some trouble to make my life easier which you may not want to duplicate. I've made templates to help. Here's how:
1. Take a 2inch strip of transparency (the cheap stuff from an office store is good for this)
2. Butt it up next to the wheel guide
3. Roll the wheel.
Now, to use, place the guide down, butt the template against and position (like a stamp positioner) to where you want the wheel, then remove the template and roll.
But, I'm anal (only when it comes to wheelin' though)
Hey Karen! You made your very own stamp-a-ma-jig! After I figured out how to use the thing I use it a lot now. Good idea about using a whole page!
On the wheel guide, I haven't used it much, probably b/c I have it hidden in a drawer and when I want to wheel something it is just one more thing to find. Not sure it is worth the money. I have a thick drafting ruler that works just the same.
LOVE IT!!!! I use my wheels alot more since I have gotten this. I am like you and can't wheel straight for the life of me. I think you will like it. I use mine for other things like the other girls have said and it is better than a ruler.
I totally reccomend it! I have some wheels that MUST be lined up to look good........ this tool is perfect for those! IMHO its a must have for wheel lovers!
Ummm....yeah...I don't use it. I usually use everything that I get, but I haven't even gotten that out of the package. Looks like I need to give it a try.
Thanks for the input. It seems that most of you like it. Guess it's worth a try. I'll just try to make sure that I actually take it out of the package and use it. ;) I'm also guilty of buying stuff and never using it! I'm looking forward to receiving the Goodie Box that Granny Hawkins started. That way I can get rid of the guilt once those items are out of my craft room.

course I bought it right away when it came out thinking it would help me use my wheels..NOT...it sat in the package forever. Then I went to a stamp a stack that used it on 3 of the 20 cards and I love love love it! I found it so easy to line up my wheels. I have always said Iwould make my own background paper for sbing and this has helped me enormously! Just make sure you hold it down with a light but firm hand and I roll toward me and it straight and easy to line up the next one! Is there one you can borrow/try before you purchase? HTH Andrea
Since laurakj posted her ingenious idea of a Lego stamp positioner (<---click! you *have* to see it), I just change the Duplo Lego pieces into a straight line, and I have my Wheel Guide!
OHMYGOSH! I love the Lego idea! Why didn't I think of that! My kids have tons of them from when they were little! How creative my dear! Can't tell you how many hours we spent making anything and everything. Who needs a stamp-a-ma-jig with you have Dup-le-jigs?
