What are the actual colors that are in the set? Some of them are pretty obvious while others I am not quite sure about. I would LOVE to have all 48 colors!
They are the 48 colors of the SU color groups (Bold Brights, Rich Regals, Soft Subtles, and Earth Elements). They do not contain any of the neutral tones. :-(

The pencils? There are 24 in that set. The crayons are 48 colors, is that what you are talking about?

I think what we were wondering is which 24 colors are the pencils supposed to be? are they matched up to any specific SU color or are they 24 basic colors?
I bought the watercolor pencils, and I hated them. The colors are not an exact match for anything, and some of them clash very badly with any of the SU colors that they are close to.
As soon as I saw the crayons, I bought them just because there are 48 and they are the SU colors.
I would recommend saving your money until you can afford the crayons. I found the pencils to be a waste of money!

I agree -- the greens especially frustrated me! I haven't gotten the crayons, I usually use the blender pens with the ink pads - one of these days will have to try that water brush one of these days with a crayon.
The watercolor pencils do not and never did match the Stampin up colors. I am so glad that the water crayons were brought up. I just purchased them and I will get them Thursday. I almost didn't, because the cost is pricey, but I had to try them. I am so glad someone is raving about them, it makes me feel better about my purchase.
I very rarely use the watercolor pencils anymore... like someone mentioned, the greens are pretty bad, and there is no TRUE red. There are, however, a nice selection of blues, purples and yellows.
I am saving my pennies to order the crayons. I bought a cheap set from the local art store just to make sure I'd use them, and they are so neat! I can't wait to have the 48 SU colors.
