...still waiting... my demo's box of catalogues got re-routed for some reason :( good thing I snagged a peak onine. But nothing beats the paper version in my own hands!
I got my catalogue yesterday. I am impressed with the layout of the supplies.
I am disappointed they raised the price on designer series paper; I thought it was spendy enough. I saw a card that I thought used washi tape, real cute, but remember where; and it was the 'tape it' stamp set in the new catalogue. On page 166, the step up; I'm assuming that refers to upgrading your stamping with glitter, dazzle adhesive and heat and stick powder. Viewing the cards first; I couldn't figure what the cards referred too. Nice way to entice customers to use those products.
Stamps are so competative; I wasn't impressed with too many; tons of companies selling them. We will see more card ideas; to tempt us though, online here, and elsewhere.

Looking at pages 150-154, the DSP packs are $10.95. There are a couple labelled DSP Specialty for $12.95 because they contain several sheets of fancy paper. But most of the normal patterned options are 10.95.

Yes, you can get the "sneak peek" items in your starter kit if you want! Pretty cool that they are doing that. I've got to get to work in a few but I'll see if I can find the list. **
My catalog came today and I love so many things in it!
Absolutely plan to get the candy dots and love that they offer an option to turn them into brads! The patterned paper selection is the best in years and I really like Gingham Garden.
I have some air-dry clay I haven't used yet (always wanted to try it, bought it at a chain store with a coupon and then got busy). My chain stores do not always have the air-dry clay so if I like using it I'm glad that it's available from SU. I like the molds and might get them but probably not on my first order.
Since I relocated my craft space the wood mount cases (both sizes) will be very useful. I find it much easier to get and stay organized when using uniformly sized containers. And I travel 2-3 times a year so it will be great for packing essentials too.
Might ask DH to get me the full marker set for my birthday (some are very old and I don't have all the colors). The case would work well with my current set-up (if stuff is out of sight I rarely end up using it). Plus, I bought the spritzer tool from the retiring list.
I only flipped through it once so I'm sure I'll find more that I want.
Just got the new catty and I have a question for anyone who seen the new colors IRL - doesn't Coastal Cabana look almost like Pool Party? Also Brown Sugar seems just a tiny bit richer than than Crumb Cake... are they really so similar or is it just me not seeing properly?

They really are quite different in person. Coastal cabana is way deeper and more green than pool party. The brown is much different from crumb cake as well. I really like it too.
my reference was to the PATTERN designer series paper packs that were $19.95 and are now $21. 95. A lot of papers but, still spendy for our retirement paychecks.

The DSP stacks were $21.95 last year as well and the year before that.
I just spent some quality time with the new cattie and I'm thrilled to say that I only "need" one stamp.. the World map.. So I think I'm over Stampin' Up... BUT that said there is no Christmas in there sooo.. just watch them come out with a fab seasonal cattie and I will hafta have everything.. sigh..

There is one thing I'm trying to figure out.... the circle framelits. If a person gets those, do they still need punches? Won't the dimensions of some of the dies be the same as the punches?
I am trying to decide what to do as I have Circle Circus and I don' have all the matching punches. Not sure now if I need them or I can just use the framelits.

This is really annoying. My prime interest is in Christmas stamps. This gives me a limited amount of time to buy things I want rather than spreading it over a year:(. I will have to purchase less.
I am in love with the new catalog but I think the layout is a little confusing. I'll get used to it though I'm so excited for Chalk Talk and similar style stamp sets. I want Cycle Celebrations just for the little bottle with the straw. Too cute! Love the candy dots and the clay molds.
I was suprised that there weren't any holiday sets but that just means the holiday catty is going to me uh-mazing! I don't have much of a budget for anything but I do have a birthday coming up
At first when I looked at the catalog, I didn't see anything I wanted. But after looking a few more times, a few things jumped out at me. A couple of the sets I'd like have matching punches, plus that background stamp that has the embossing folder to match is a must have. I've really been into stamps that I can make backgrounds with lately, part of which is due to the fact that once again, I'm not very excited about SU's designer paper choices this year.
I definitely have enough on my wish list to qualify for hostess bennies, plus I'll put in a good order for Saleabration, assuming they have it again this year. And I know there will be more options in smaller catalogs soon as well.
I'd say I like about the same amount in this catalog as other years.

Yeah, I like that stamp... except for the big word describing the sahara desert. I know it's a vintage map and all, but I'd have picked a different version. I'm sure it's historically accurate but it makes me uncomfortable and isn't something I want to use.
