So I'm looking through my beautiful new SU catty, and something keeps catching my eye. On page 11, how did they make the little scalloped white edge on the bags? The corner rounder I have is too big to make such tiny scallops. To be honest, I don't have the new SU corner rounder, I only have the smallest EK Success one. But I when I line up one of my corners to the catty example, they match almost exactly. The example on page 11 shows scallops that are a smidge smaller than the 1/4" grosgrain ribbon. Does the new SU corner rounder really make such a tiny scallop? TIA
The current corner rounder really does make small scallops but I don't see it listed under the supply list for these projects. Here is a card I made using the current Stampin' Up! corner rounder to make scallops: http://kathleenh-myhappyplace.blogsp...baby-card

i don't see it noted in the index & supplies either - however, it looks to me like they used a scallop scissor. i have one from fiskars, and it looks the same. i have the scallop and mini scallop.
How would you use the corner rounder to do scalloped edges when the punch has a nonremovable guide on the metal part of the punch?
Jill
Oh, but it IS removeable. With the silver "guts" facing you, pull one side of the guard out away from the punch then angle the punch back and out of the guard. Voila...a scallop makin' machine!! It slips on the same way. Just hook on one side and the other side should snap into place. You don't need to pull very hard to get the guard off so just be gentle.
But if you have the scallop circle punch there's an even easier way to make scalloped edges. Go to Patty Bennett's blog to learn her quick method.

I was referring to the "guts" as you put it. The stamp appears to have a metal guide on it. I will still try and see what happens.
Thanks,
Jill
My bad!! Sorry. Just punch away once you've gotten the outside guard off. It just looks like it's not going to work but it will. The only other tip I have is to make sure that just the smallest, teensiest amount of the edge of the previous scallop is showing when you punch. Otherwise it will leave a weird half moon thingy. Try it you'll see what I mean. Good luck!
