each of the items are? Usually like when you are online with other stamps they give you an idea of the size? I haven't seen the Catty, but I haven't seen anything on the online catties saying what size the sets are?
Stamp set images in the catalog are full-size unless otherwise noted (background stamps and Big Shot dies are shown smaller), and the "standard" size is 4.25" x 5.5" for the card samples shown.

I think what she may be asking is how do we know the size if we are only looking at an electronic copy of the catalog. Size differs with screen resolution. It would probably be a good idea for Stampin' Up to start listing sizes for those of us who view the catalog electronically. I have also wondered the size of some of the stamps in the new catalog.
If you are looking at the downloaded catty there is a tool bar at the top that shows the % of zoom. If I set mine to 65% (type in 65 and hit enter) then the images seem to be the same size as the ones in the catalog. If you hold your old catalog up to the screen it should be the same width as the page online - 8 1/2"
Actually I think 68% is a little closer. Anyway that will give you a pretty good idea of how big the sets really are. You can also double check by comparing the images on screen to an actual stamp set that you may already have that is in the catalog.
But your resolution on your screen may be set different than yours...so it leaves that problem as to what size the stamp is. I guess this is a way for Stampin up to have you get the catty. Also...you really can tell the new colors as well. I'll put that question in another post.
If you read closer you notice I say an OLD catalog. They have been the exact same size for at least the last 12 years so I guess I just assumed that she probably had an old one or at least owned a SU set that is still in the current catalog. If you hold your stamp block up to the screen you can compare it to the image in the catalog. This might not get you exact but it will be close enough. If you don't have any old catalogs and don't own any SU sets then maybe you're not really that interested anyway.
