I am absolutely ROTFL! Our family tree looks like it barely survived a tornado! Then it had a couple of growths added to it
My DH's first wife is now my SIL and his step-sister. His former MIL is now is step-mother. His DD is also his "niece", his new grandson is also his grand nephew!! (Should I add that his Dad married his former MIL--just to clear things up?). Needless to say holidays are a little crazy--just like the family!!!
I get a good laugh--but reading some of the other replies I feel almost ummm
"normal"--whatever that is

YIKES that's almost as confusing as my sister's! One question though, how do you all get along? Must be tough with the ex still in the "family"!
fool4scrapping--it was your reply that didn't make me feel so "out there"! LOL!
Actually we don't all get together-- MIL has "us" and "them" gatherings.
I really do love my MIL and FIL-- we have a great time together. They have always been wonderful and loving to me and my children. Luckily the ex lives out of state and we ALWAYS call before going to my in-laws house--just in case any of her other kids are there!
One of her sons and his wife sent my husband a "SYMPATHY" card when we got married (13 years ago this August) and I have been "tweeked" ever since!
MIL tried to get us together a few times by having them "drop in" while we were there--within 5 minutes of their arrival-- I was out of there!

That's so sad! I hate when families just can't "let it go"... My sister's ex husband (not the tree trunk family tree one) is like that with my niece and nephew. They NEVER get the packages I send unless I send them to my sister's house, so sometimes it's like 4 months before they get their birthday present. I used to IM my nephew, but the step monster found out my screen name and blocked it. She even "pretended" to be him once. Which was fine, because I didn't say anything I wouldn't have said to her face, anyway! (Plus I knew right away it was her, since my nephew and I had pet names for each other that WEREn'T being used by her.) Anyway, that was really rotten what the ex BIL did... totally immature....
Aren't families wonderful?

Oh I SO need one that says "Sorry I turned you in for being a Biatch on the phone".... my paycheck is over two weeks late because me BOSS went on vacation and we didn't know they changed payroll practices... needless to say, I called when my check didn't come to see if anything was wrong and the girl automatically gives me attitude before I even KNEW there were problems. I was VERY nice when I first called, just basically a "hey, my check isn't here, wanted to see..." type thing and she jumps all over me... Not MY fault that she'd been chewed out by 10 others before me...
ok, vent over
How about a set that says something like "Glad/Sorry you are having a good/bad bipolar day!" Don't mean to make light of mental illness, but sheesh! If you've ever had to live/love someone with it, you need a good laugh!

Which is why I TRULY believe stamping is cheaper than therapy and why my stamping room is called the Rubber Room. I even refer to it that way to my customers, they get a kick out of it.:p

Sounds like that folk song "I am my own grandpa!" ;)
This is stinking hilarious!
I need:
Happy birthday to my evil stepmother.
Congratulations on all of your children finding the time to work college around their community service. (To the elements in my family who think going to college is the only thing that makes you a worth while person. Never mind that you're a pain in the hiney who's had numerous run-ins with the law.)
Sorry you had a bad day and got brought home by the cops.
Congratulations on your marriage. They say third time's the charm.
Congratulations on completing your community service.
Happy Thanksgiving and thanks for not breaking into someone's house this year.
Whatever kind of saying you need for your stepdad's daughter that he let his ex-wife's husband adopt now that she's back in the picture.
Okay! Okay!
I really like "The third one is the charm!"--that would be ME and it IS!
I always feel weird saying that BUT I was widowed at 22 and then (unfortunately) divorced at 35 and now very happily married for 13 years.. soon to be 14! I NEVER dreamed that I would get a divorce but doody happens

How about: Even though you are weird and sort of odd, and we all think you are spoiled, happy day to you, only child!
Truth is, we are a little weird, but not necessarily spoiled. Almost takes a lifetime to experience many of the things that kids experience normally in childhood...an odd one,
Oh man, if you only KNEW! My step sister married her step uncle (her mom's second husbands brother!) So her mom is also her sister in law, her step dad is her brother in law, her step grandma is her MIL, her step grandma is grandma AND great grandma to her kids, her own mother is aunt AND grandma.... Grandpa is also uncle... YIKES!
ROTFLMBO! How long did you have to think about that to figure it out. I got a headache just reading you post! Thanks for the laugh (laughing with you I hope)

Did y'all see the top of the thread, the "Ads by Google" at the top of the page? When I logged on to keep lookin' at all of the *hilarious* things people had written, here were the four "look-up categories:
Ya know they say stamping is cheaper than therapy -- and there must be a reason for that saying -- because it is true!
Signed,
Another dysfunctional stamper ;)
I know what you mean!! I don't know where I would be without stamping!! LOL! Although I'm not sure about the cheaper part.......but stamping is definitely replaced any addictions (shopping, wine, etc.) that I may have had in the past! :-D
Oh yeah- I need some stamps for a "Thank Goodness my Divorce is Final" card. Don't get me started on that, though.....

LOL write it down on a sheet of paper with arrows going to and from each family member, then give it to the coach of your local football team.. They're SURE to have a winning play!;)
I've been wanting stamps like this all my life!
French fries and a burger, quote" A few *french fries* short of a happy meal! I have just the in-law for that one!
There is a need to put the *Dys* back in functional! Bi-Polar? What did I do with that bear?
This is such a hoot!
Karen
ps: I'll buy all the stamps you can get made!

When my DH saw the Best of Cluck set, his first reaction was, "Can you make a card that says "Cluck Off!"

Okay...I *just* finally broke down and got this set. I am *now* going to have to make a Cluck Off card with it!!! Or maybe a Cluck You. If only there was a way I could manipulate the "wing" to point upward... ~ K

I think it's hilarious that this thread is getting so much attention. I think we really may be onto to something here. Anyway, I'm really glad to see that I'm not the only one with an insane family.
My sister has been married 4 times and all four of them live in the same town and they run into each other all over town. A little too chummy for my taste. At her son's wedding, she had 3 of her husband's in attendance with their new wives and children. At her most recent (and hopefully last!) wedding, their reception was hosted by her new husband's ex-wife and her new husband. Rather unusual, I thought. I think the real capper was when husband #1 divorced his 2nd wife to marry his 19 year old foster daughter. Yes, ladies - let's say it all at once - ewwwww!
I think that one was really bizarre, especially when they had a baby together. My nephew had the honor of having a half brother 28 years his junior. Amazingly, they've been married for about 15 years now, so I guess they must have done something right....

Ok... I am checking your gallery daily now looking for this! GREAT idea! Along the lines of the U suck card...
"Expressive Dysfunctional Phrases" is SO on my wish list. Think of what we could do with all the curse word stamps and words like ex, sleaze, crazy, nuts, dirtbag, homewrecker, mental, rehab, drink, baby-mama, shotgun, cousin, uncle, step, welfare, unemployed, lazy, prison, jail, runaway, gutter, rash, tattoo, pierced, booger, vomit, gross, icky, yuck, unbelievable, weird, lice, depressing, punk, redneck, trashy, trailer..... oh my gosh...
I have to go to bed... and dream of making a million dollars selling the new "stamp out dysfunction" line...
on a serious note (not that I wasn't serious before) I think the world is short on pro-gay stamps too... two grooms, two brides, "civil union", "partner", "My 2 dads", "2 mom's are better than one", "happy pride week" "congratulations on coming out", "family pride".....hey I just though of a great use for that closet image in fashion statements!!! I am totally going to the gay pride parade with "coming out" cards!!!

or HOW ABOUT THIS FOR MY DRUG ADDICTED EX
You did not pay your child support,
You say your paycheck's short
I'm needing it to make the rent
I guess we'll meet in court.
I know I amm very jaded but thius thread is GREAT and I LOVE LOVE LOVE my gay brothers so please dont anyone make this political. Just having alot of fun here!
But the one I always said I wanted is short and simple"
F*&@ You A$@Hole!!
How about this one:
Too bad AA didnt work for you
But you still are my kids' Dad
Next time stay in rehab longer
Being sober isnt so bad.
Okay okay I know I have carried on with this much too long, thanks MamaK for this thread you are TERRIFIC!!!

what a cute idea! ok now why AREN't there more gay male stampers? My brother isn't very stereotypical... he's more "butchy" I guess, but really...I feel like THAT is an untapped Market! I am so going to look into renting a booth at pride... there has to be a craft show or something! I can't wait to see the look on my uplines face when I walk in with all my new recruits! whoo hoo!
How about "Congratulations on wedding #3, hope it works better that the last!!"
My girlfriend was joking about those welcome name plates for in your porches, she siad she need one with magnetic letters so she could just change it rather that get new
oh too funny!! we had "two of those weddings" coming up one summer
- and i coulda used the "Congratulations on marrying the woman you left
your wife and kids for" for one of them! i had some of my young nieces
+ nephews over to stamp wedding cards for their parents... on the
wedding card to her new step-mom, one 10 year old niece actually stamped
"better luck this time"! it was all i could do to tell her what a lovely card + thought, while keeping a straight face!! honest!!
