Default SU die cutting some stamps?

Why are they die cutting some of the rubber sets and not others? Is this what they plan to do in the future? If so, why?

The ones in the new Holiday mini are all diecut, as are the ones in the Simply Stampin' kits and (I think) the ones in the Punch Box. They haven't officially committed to die-cutting everything in the future but it sure does look like they are moving in that direct (IMHO).

The ones in the Holiday mini are so nicely done.

The die-cut stamps from the mini are great! I'm not particular either way but I was so happy when I remembered they were die-cut. I wasn't particular impressed by some I got last fall but the ones that came today were really done well.

Yes. They still come on a "sheet" but are already cut 99% of the way around. You just need to pop them out of the sheet, peel off the backing and stick them on the wood block.

Is this what they call field marketing?? I figure they are testing the market for whether people will go for the slight price increase for this additional step. I think they will find it to be very welcomed and well accepted regardless of price. Then maybe they will continue down that road for the upcoming catalogs.

I was glad to see the die cutting...i don't mind paying a little extra to save that dreaded step of cutting them all out.

Actually at convention it was mentioned at ALL future mini catalog sets would be die-cut. Of course, this has all of us demonstrators wondering if this means that eventually all stamps, both full catalog and minis will be die-cut. At this point only time will tell, but my money is on all die-cut stamps in the not so distant future.

I'm one of the crazy ones that loves to cut them out, but it will be nice to be able to play immediately!

I like cutting them too, but I am loving the die cut. Hoping that this is the direction they are going.

I love the die cuts too and think it's fabulous that the minis will have die cut only. Now, if the alphabet sets come die cut--that would be wonderful! Those are sets that I don't care to trim and mount.

You and me both! I have an alpha set sitting here for almost three months now that I still haven't mounted. Yet I've easily cut out probably 20 other sets in that time, but for some reason that alpha set is intimidating!

I've never minded the process of cutting out the stamps (been doing it for over ten years now) but tennis elbow, for which I recently had surgery, has made it a more painful task, so I'll welcome the die cuts. And as long as they're giving us the whole die-cut sheet (the "negative" part, too), we'll still be able to use the extra rubber for whatever we want - pretty cool!!!

yup - you get the whole sheet, so you'll have the negative.

Love the diecuts. Would like for them to go to that with all stamp sets. Maybe they will go to doing it for all newly introduced sets. My customers like it as well, because sometimes the cutting is what is keeping them from stamping.

I usually don't mind cutting them out myself. Except for alphabets. I really get weary when cutting out alphabets.

It must be a NH thing...I LOVE trimming stamps. I have a friend that passes all of hers on to me to trim for her...I find it therapeutic. That said...I will love being able to play right away more than I love trimming stamps.

Amazing to Zany almost did me in! All of my alpha sets retired this year and I cannot make myself buy another set. Now if they were die cut, well that would be another story....

I'm still working on my Fancy Flexible Phrases that I got in January. What a pain to trim and mount!
