I'm at work with very high speed and only up to page 10 of the catty after about 25 minutes. This is ridiculous. Glad I'm picking up my hard copy tonight.

I called Demo Support and they said that your computer downloads it anyway (it did last year too) it's just the whole world is trying to do it at the same time so tick tock!
I'm half way through and it's only been 15 minutes if that helps.
I have a (silly!) question! I still do not have a demo in my area - long story Can you order from the catty online now that it's available, or do they make you go thru a demo in your area? Just checking ...... I have 3 calls out to demos right now, and my phone (an hour later) still has not rang, ROFL! They must be SWAMPED with calls and customers!
You still have to go through a demo. Online ordering isn't available yet.

an hour? i would expect it could be longer. many demos are just part-time... they may be a homemaker getting kids ready for school, or have a job outside the home. [no offense intended against full-time demos!] i'd give them a day to return a call.
My sister is a demo in TX. She just received her copy of the catty in the mail today. I went to a catalog party yesterday--love the new InColors and DP. Not in love with a ton of new stamps but psyched that all the news sets are die cut. I'll post a few make and takes soon on my blog that we made.
I tried downloading on 2 computers. After about 1 1/2 hours one computer finished and all I could see was the front page. My other computer has stalled at 82% done. Hopefully my copy will come tomorrow.

Ok...this is killing me! My catalog is sitting locked away in my demos garage while she is away enjoying her week at the beach. I got back too late from my vacation to pick up my copy. I actually drove over to her house to see if I could get into her garage without too much effort or too much illegal activity. I've tried over and over to download the catalog and NADA! I feel like crying! :(
I am SO frustrated. I was waiting for today so I could see the catalog online. The whole download thing is AWFUL. I am not waiting around for a couple hours for that. Why did they change that. So stupid. I just want to SEE it. Why even bother?

Is there any way that anyone who has saved the downloaded catalog can post an attachment of megaupload link here? I have tried for hours to download it from SU without success....
I was able to dwnld it and it only took a few minutes but it was very jumpy! It is much easier to see IRL, I think and just found a demo - YAY ME! I was sifting thru the SU! sight and called a few of them, one answered and she was just delightful. I have my husband on her way to her house to pick up the new catty, ROFL!! The things we do for love - I will owe him big time!!

That's a great idea!
It took me 2 1/2 hrs to download (high speed internet too) and when I went to open it it said the file was hinky and couldn't be read. Talk about a let down!! I had coffee brewing etc... UGH
I was dissapointed that I couldn't do the quick flip like last year :(
Was in the middle of scolling trough when my computer said the file was damaged and couldn't fix it (?)
I've never seen that before, not even sure what it means , but I can't even download it at all now. :(

Oh it's there...just taunting us with it's invisible nature! This is so funny...on my week of vacation...I was bragging to my husband about how I hadn't even "thought" about stamping because I was having so much fun. I come back and the next day I'm breaking and entering to get at my catalog.
It's just rubbah...it's just rubbah! (The chant is not working!)
Thanks to Rachel for explaining the timing in posting the catalog to the Web. I'm disappointed that SU! doesn't post a note on their site stating when it will be available online. They must realize we're all waiting with baited breath to see it. It would be even better for those of us east of mountain time, and probably easier for SU! on The Big Day, if they could activate the demo ordering system a few days in advance of posting the catalog. There may be technical reasons for not doing that, though.
They do post news updates, but on the demo side. There was an announcement on June 14th:

Q: When can I begin placing orders from the Fall-Winter 2008 Idea Book & Catalog?
A: Orders from the new catalog will be accepted starting at noon on Monday, August 11, 2008. Please note that the Stampin’ Up! offices will be closed on Sunday, August 10.

Where's that 12-step program when I need it?
I've been pulling my hair out with frustration over the un-accessibility to the new catty, and now I can't stop laughing! Thanks, Shawn.....you probably saved me from a Type-A Personality heart attack!
I give up! I've tried every half hour since noon and it just stalls out about halfway through, not enough to even see it. Think I'll just wait for a couple of days
well, I tried again. Got up to 15 MB and then the whole thing went kablooey. I gave up a much-needed-so-I-don't-go-stir-crazy evening at the gym to sit here and look at the catty. and ... nothing. Well, the only good thing is that while it was trying to download I started to clear off my dining room table and got through 2 piles of papers!

When will we, as customers, be able to order the new Sizzix dies? Is there somewhere I could see them all? Thanks!
Customers can start purchasing the Big Shot and accessories on Sept 2. There's a special brochure that your demo can send to you. Plus, it will be featured in the Holiday Mini. HTH
The poster (wish I could find it so I could give credit) said to go through a demo's website. (Darn smart lady!) The catty doesn't have to download. I just did it, and I can see the whole thing! Took less then a few minutes to open. Yippee!
Just find a demo's site, and click catalog on the top.
