Default SU Catalog color true to life?

I'm hoping someone with a ton of ink/card stock can help me out. lol

I am a brand new demo and wanted to surprise some of my guests at my first open house with a cardstock sample ring so they could see all the beautiful colors in person.

So I ordered five sets of scalloped circles from a lady on eBay. Sadly they are all just tossed in an envelope :( So I have 250 pretty scalloped circles and no idea which color is which.

How close are the colors in the catalog to the actual card stock? Im hoping I can match them up this way? Is this doable?

Any advice would be appreciated!

You should be able to match them up with the colors in the catty. Sounds like alot of work though!

I would love a sample like you are descriibing but what a lot of work! The catty is really reliable for matching the colors. (So much so that I have a color coper at work and always copy the color page out of the catalog every year and then use a highlighter to mark my inventory- I never order duplicates that way and can tell when I am at a workshop whether I have the same supplies at home....)

This year's catty is more true than some in the past. I think they have worked hard to get true colors printed and have definitely improved the catties.

Go over to the demo side and I am sure someone will send you samples of all colors for no charge. What about your upline? Maybe she can help you right away.

Hope to be helpful,

Mary A.

For the most part the colors are true to life, with the exception of the In Colors page. For some reason, that one is all messed up -- or at least the printing batch that all the comp copies for demos came from was. Blue Bayou does not look anything like the swatch pictured, and Wild Wasabi and Basic Brown (closest match to Chocolate Chip card stock) are off as well.
