I store mine in notebooks and use plastic page protectors that have 4 sections on each side. The cards fit in them perfectly. I got them at Century Photo. Then I label each notebook, "birthday, sympathy, thank you, etc." Makes it easy to just pull down a notebook, pull out a card & send it.

Excellent questions and so many answers!
I bought some 6x6 photo albums from Archivers in their $1.99 bins and my cards fit right down in each sheet protector. Then they stand up on a shelf and all I have to do is flip through the album till I find a card I want to use. Works great on the smaller cards, but not on the larger ones.

I use a sterlite container like this one http://www.usphome.com/catalog/produ...oduct_id=30820 with dividers for each category, but for the life of me, I can't remember where I bought this. I also use a photo box, with dividers. t I made my dividers out of chip board, cut to size and label my categories with my label maker.
I use a all different things like QVC had a all inclusive kit with card holder that is awesome....and then the craft store cubes are great because i store envelopes in the back. It makes it easier to get to in a hurry....but i have not found an easy way for the larger greeting cards. the plastic sleeves stampin up caries kinda cheap, the cards slips in and the top folds over.

I buy the plastic sleeves for them, so you can open to see the inside verse without getting them dirty, and bought an actual card rack. I love it!!
Plus I can easily spin it to see what sections are low. (I labeled each section with the type of card.)
I just wanted a spinning card rack so much I had to buy it.
Hi Zekenne
I am also in Oz, I bought DVD storage boxes from Woolies supermarket - about 6.99 each- they are made of a very sturdy board , packaged flat with press stud assembly - they have little handles and metal reinforced corners - they come in black and white - other sizes are available, but IO find the dvd size works well for slightly oversize cards.
Cheers
Sarah
I use 4x6 photo albums that have clear sleeves with the opening on top. It gives enough jiggle room for my A2 cards, especially if it has embellishments. I bought a few- each book can be used for a different occasion. They were $1.00 each at my local Dollarama (in Canada).
How about those photo storage boxes they sell inMichaels and ACMoore? Some come with dividers that you could write the occasion on, like Birthday Cards, Get Well, etc.?
That's what I do, and it works for me....sometimes I get caught short-handed for a card, and check in my box to find a card to use:-D....
I do exactly like MammaStamper for my sample cards and even use the plastic pocketed pages from Century Plastics. I have about 20 albums of varying widths to house the cards by topic, except for holidays like Christmas, Valentines Day, July 4th, St. Pat's Day and special occasions like Graduation, Wedding, Baby, I mostly categorize by theme--leaves, flowers, snowflakes, fruit, flowers--which could be mixed with birthday, Father's Day, sympathy, etc. as that is how I organize my stamps as well. My finished cards that will be sent, I store them in the photo boxes by occasion only. Sounds confusing when I write it all down, but it really works for me and seems easy to manage.
i used lots of different colors or design of photo storage boxes i bought from Hobby Lobby or even Michael's i used lots of different cards of what i made from classes or for myself at home i use for each different storage photo box i write labels on each boxes so i will know which box for birthday, another box for christmas, other box for baby, etc i keep in stack up i easy can see where i can look for name of label i pull box out and open what inside i can made cards for them or for my pleasure made cards i keep in keepsake....its helps me alots.... enjoy it !!
I have a free solution to storing completed cards. You've seen the display containers in the craft stores (lower in the front; higher in the back; slanted on the sides) like matstack tablets are displayed in. I asked if I could have the empty containers and they gave them to me. They fit in a storage drawer and I put different categories in each container. I made labels for the top/back so I can easily see which category is in each container. You can lift out a container and sit down with it to search for the perfect card when you need it. Nothing fancy, but works perfectly for me.

ok...this isn't my best one...but it's the only one that I've uploaded a pic of. file box for cards by stampnsk8r at Splitcoaststampers
I made this...and I know I need to make a template...but it's really easy. It's a 12x12 sheet of paper and 4 score lines...makes a really cute holder to store your cards in. I made so many...and gave them as gifts with the cards in them.
lynnewithane.......stampnsk8r posted a picture of a container like I was mentioning I got for free at HL, etc. Hers is beautiful, but exactly the same concept. Her picture makes me want to "doll" mine up.
Personally, I like all of the ideas. What works for me is a huge (3 or 4 inch, I think) D-ring notebook. I found plastic sheets that look like baseball card pockets, but bigger for cards. Then it's easier to see and the cards don't get pulled out and left on the table during classes as much. But they get looked at a whole lot more and protected from the dust.
