HELP!!! My stamp collection is growing and I need to know what is the best way to store acrylic stamps and save space? I have taken all of my block stamps off the blocks and mounted them on ez mount. I have a small area and need to be efficient in my storing techniques.
Can anyone give me some suggestions.
Greatly appreciate it!
I store mine in binders. The little Studio G $ sets fit perfectly into the baseball card sheet pockets and the larger sets I just slide into sheet protectors. I have also bought the storage sheets from Gina K, love them.

I use large DVD sized cases that I got from Cheryl Goldstein at Stamp-by-Step. My unmounted SU stamps and stamps from other companies fit perfectly in these. I'm very organized and completely happy with my system. I have some great organization ideas on my blog.

Ditto on the binders. I slide the individual and dollar clear stamps in the baseball card slots and can fit 2 Inkadinkadoo sets into one regular sheet protector. I put it all into a 3 in. binder. This has been a lifesaver for me and I love this system!
I ended up having WAY to many UM stamps to continue using CD cases and binders. I had about 30 CD cases before I realized I'd need a thousand with as few as they held. Then I added binders...SIX, 5-6 inch binders full. At that point they took up too much room and was hard to look through and find your stamps and little stamps would fall out and get lost. Since I had room, I designed and had DH help me built my storage. Stamp credenza by Betty at Splitcoaststampers
I LOVE IT
I found these new stampendous boxes - it's really packaging sold as storage LOL! They come in different thicknesses for different items. I use the thin ones for my clear stamps (because you can clearly see what's in them, plus they close so that if any fall off, they'll stay inside). (www.scrappingreatdeals.com) For my rubber um stamps, I have the boxes from Gina K. (www.ginakdesigns.com)
I've also used old Stampin Up clear boxes that the stamps come in for clear stamps.
I am on my second order of 200 CD cases...I have a LOT of clear stamps...lol I put my unmounted rubber in the Ginak Binders things...They are awesome...no lost stamps.
Blessings.
I don't have that mounted unmounted sets yet, but I LOVE the Gina K storage binders! I also love that you can slide paper in them to co-ordinate with your stamp room decor.
I use this great Iris Photo boxes I get at JoAnn's with my coupons...
I cut the bottoms and lids of the clam shells to 4 x 6 inches for storage sheets and put all my clear stamps on them by manufacture...

I have just invested in a DJ CD box that hold hanging CD cases. The one I bought has 600 of these cases so should keep me going for a while. Will also use it to hold my Nesties and maybe also Sizzlets.
I wish I had the nerve to un-mount my wood-backed stamps!!

I'm planning to use the enclosed binders (A4 not A5) shown in this blog http://triplethescraps.blogspot.com/...ted-stamp.html and laminated sheets for all my stamps - however I am going to leave my clear sets on their protective sheet and keep their covers (not the outer packaging) and just adhere them to my sheets (saw that on someone's blog that I have forgetten now and she used normal binders but I was nervous about "fallout") - well that is the plan. I work better with binders and with seeing more at a time.
I think the best thing to do is to assess what you work best with and adapt it to suit your own needs. HTH

I use the DVD cases from Stamp By Step for my clear stamps and the Gina K. binders for my stamps that are mounted on EZ mount. I've read that CD cases/DVD cases aren't good for EZ mount in the long run, that's why I use the Gina K binders and sheets.
I have do not have very many unmounted sets (15). I cut Sunday International ez mount sheets down to about 5 1/2" x 6" and put them into CTMH frosted plastic envelopes then I slide these envelopes into the appropriate category drawer with my wood mounted stamps. This works for me but may but not be the most cost effective if you have 100 sets.
Each one opens up like a unhinged clamshell and you can fit foam mounted (like SeeD's or some Inka's) and clears on both of the insides. I put a piece of bright yellow cardstock in the middle to help make things easier to see. On the clear stamps, I glue dot the printed sheet that comes with the clears to the inside of the clamshell so the printed acetate is facing outwards. The foam mounted ones stick so that their design shows through also.
The ones I have are 8 1/2 x 11, but you can also get 12 x 12. These hold A LOT and they fit inside a regular 3-ring binder. Stamps are not able to easily fall out either.
The down side is that they are not easy to find so when you do find them, you might want to order 2 sets. On the site referenced above, the 8 1/2 x 11's typically come in sets of 5 each, and the 12 x 12's typically come in sets of 4 each.

Wow, you sure do have some great organization ideas! I just bookmarked your blog and I'm wiping off my computer desk because I drooled while looking at the photos of your incredible craft studio. Wow! I love the Stamp-by-Step cases and bookmarked their site also because I want to order some. They are just what I've been looking for. Thanks so much for sharing!
I use the 8.5x11" storage panels from Sunday intl but I store them in a zippered binder! I have had 'fallout' but because the are zippered in, I've never lost any!

I love it and have about four boxes full of stamps. My five year old son has expressed a desire to "stamp with mommy" so I have started him a little collection. I will be ordering a starter box for his new collection of stamps. I figure I'll get him started with unmounted stamps so he will never have a storage problem!
