Hi!
I did unmount over 5,000 images and am so happy I did. I did SU and Non-SU stamps. I also unmounted foam mounted and other odd assorted handles. I use Aileene's Tack It Over and Over. I stick the stamp to document protector sheets that have cardstock inside for support, cut these down to fit inside zip top style sandwich bags (incase something falls off the document protector sheet). These are sorted by set name, theme and filed in plastic shoe boxes. I used my Cricut to make the dividers so I could find what I was looking for easily. The binders didn't work for me because the pages were too heavy with stamps and the pages tore, I did use 21 - 1" binders when I first started this and I like the smaller packages better. I attached pictures, I hope this works.
Has anyone seen these from Inque Boutique ?
Has anyone used them?
Yes, I have these and like them a lot. I've been meaning to post some pictures of them on my blog (with my stamps in them) but something keeps coming up. I keep both unmounted rubber stamps as well as my acrylic stamps in them.
So, I decided on the storage system I thought would work best. I was going to purchase the Stamp n' Stor panels from Sunday International who I have purchased from before. The problem is the shipping is insane! Does anyone know of another online store that has these and will ship to Canada? Here's the link:
i used to do the cd system but Ihave so many stamps and many of the sets did not fit into one case, and then the entire system got unwieldy....
I have mine on the SundayInt economy storage sheets - then each sheet sits in a regular manila folder - labeled by stamp manuf. and set name. All folders just sit in a regular ole file drawer - when I want one, i just grab the set I like. its very compact and very easy. (I like this better than a binder method which I didn't like lugging down multiple big binders to find a particular set). This system I just grab the manila folder i want to use.
I am unmounting over 250 Stampin Up sets. I have bought my Cling mount from Beeswax. Great people - Super Fast Shipping - Best Value. I got my CD Jewel cases from Rima.com. I ordered the 200 with out the center CD holder - with shipping it was just over $35.00 - and again they were shipped Super Fast. I am waiting for Addicted to Rubber to get the "See D's Removable Rubber Stamp Storage Boxes" back in stock for my stamps that are too big for the CD cases. I currently have them in a binder, but they never get used because they are not as close at hand as the CD's. I have no regrets but am ready to have the job done. I am ready to PLAY!
I stamp the images from a set on a piece of cardstock and label for the manufacturer and name (I use the SU labels for those sets), laminate the cards with Royal Sovereign laminating pouches (safe for ezmount) and place the images on the back of the card. Why the back? I want to see the images, not have to try to figure out the rubber. The correct image is directly behind the image on the front.
I currently keep the cards in my drawers in my cabinet. The card size is not efficient for my drawers, but in the future I may change to different size drawers. The cards can be put in a cello pocket if desired. They can also be placed on edge so that you flip through the cards. Someone posted pics of their unmounted sets recently that are in sterilite boxes.
