I'm still waiting too. I'm trying not to blame the store I pre-ordered from, I know this was poor planning from Ranger, but it's getting really hard. Most places have gotten the single markers in, just not the canister sets. What really annoyed me was when I went to a stamp convention a couple weeks ago the Stampers Anonymous booth had canisters sitting there... would've cost me more than I paid on the pre-order but at least I'd HAVE them!

This is exactly why there is a shortage out there... Instead of shipping out to the stores they sold them at shows.. PLEASE don't blame the stores, it's not possible that it's their fault! Everyone has been on back-order for the last month!! I bought the markers individually when they first arrived at my LSS and I guess that's why I've had them for a couple months. I didn't care about having the plastic "tube" knowing that I wouldn't store them in it..

I didn't care about the tube... I just realized I'd probably be buying them all anyway (like I eventually did with the ink pads...) so I might as well get it over with in one shot with a coupon. I'd hate to cancel my order, I know it's not the store's fault, but I'm just so tired of waiting that I almost don't care if I get them anymore. How did Ranger let this happen?

Exactly my thoughts too. And I dont blame the store at all. I have had good communication with them.
I guess its like those Marvy mega punches a couple years ago. Now everybody uses nesties instead.
I am thinking I should have passed on this shiny object too
Our store out here just got them in.....seemed to take ages but no canister or sets...bought a few....just the ones in the same colors as the distress inks that I like...looking forward to trying them out
I emailed OMC where I preordered mine. She said they are filling orders as they get the sets (in dribs and drabs) from Ranger. She offered to cancel my order if I wanted and I'm thinking I should have taken her up on the offer.
I bought a few just to test them out and they are not my favorite to be honest.

That's where I got mine from too (and got the response to consider canceling them). At this point I think they could be the greatest thing since sliced bread but I'm so annoyed about the wait I'm not sure I'll be impressed when I get them. I feel like I should contact Ranger directly to complain, it's actually turning me off of their products - which is really hard considering the have a TON of stuff.
I have decided that I am canceling my pre-order. This isnt a cheap purchase and I have been waiting since February. I know it is not the online stores fault and would never blame them.
I havent seen anything spectacular done with them because so many people are still waiting like I am. So I dont even know if they are worth the wait any more.
Eventually they will be sold everywhere and I will determine then if I still want them. Or better yet, another company will have created something similar.
We ordered ours at CHA, and we were told they would be shipping mid-February (2 weeks after show was over). We ordered full sets, empty canisters, and the individual display.
We got our individual display from Ranger about 2 months ago (late March) but are now waiting on specific color re-orderes.
We still haven't gotten our full sets or empty canisters, although we did manage to get a few full sets from our distributor.
We have a few full sets ready to ship, as well as most of the individual colors yet.
I like the distress markers so far. They stay wetter longer, so you aren't as rushed when coloring in your stamp before stamping it. They also blend nicely on the stamp when coloring it in too. Plus, the color doesn't dilute when you are water coloring with it after it's been stamped.
My LSS got the individual markers in late March, early April. The sets and more individual markers just came in maybe about 1 1/2 - 2 weeks ago with the exception of a couple of colors. We have one set left and I am not sure if we have sold very many of the individual since we got more in. I haven't used them so I don't know how they color.
I just taught my first Watercoloring with Distress Markers class last night and all of the students absolutely loved them!! Most of them took the class without owning any and most of them left with a Tube!! so yah.. they've got my seal of approval!

My local Hobby Lobby had some. A set, not the whole tube of all the colors. I preordered from 7 Kids College Fund and received them within a couple of weeks. Maybe they have more available for those looking. I was happy with the pricing as well.
I ordered them from Oh My Crafts. On February 6th.
I won't get to play with them until Sunday since we're leaving soon and that will be if I ditch my DD with my Mom, since she is coming to visit for a week! Luckily, she's heard me talk about wanting my markers for months, so I think she'll be OK if I disappear.
My dog's name is Lola, aka Goober. She's a Gordon Setter - that big white patch on her chest makes her "pet quality". LOL. Just saying that about her makes me giggle.
I got mine last week from OMC as well. But frankly, I'm irritated that I had to wait until the end of May for something that was supposed to ship mid-March (what the website said when I ordered).
So I took them out of the bubble envie and set them on my shelf. The canister has never been opened and I'm not sure when it will be. They've lost the magic for me, I guess. I should have cancelled the order when I had the chance to.
