Default Sticky Scissors ???

Hi,

I got really tired of having my scissors so sticky after triming my new stamps,
Did some research and found a great tech. and it really works.

Just wipe ur scissors on ur versamark pad before cutting, it will not become sticky, Not sure how often you need to wipe them, but for the 1 set I did....only 1 time !!!!!

I have always use the adhesive remover square thingy that SU just started selling last year and it is in this years catalog too. You just "erase" the sticky stuff right off your scissors. It looks like a big eraser but works fantastic!!

Default sticky scissors

I use Goo Gone - takes the glue right off and it smells nice.

I use the Goo Gone method... and I agree... smells great! Makes the scissors look like new... all shiny.

Ditto here.

And, rubbing alcohol was what I used until I found the Goo Gone.

Nail Polish remover works too.... It's especially handy to buy the little round tubs of pads.

But are you saying if you use versamark or spray oil your scissors will not get sticky at all????? Have you tried it on the SU scissors?

BTW, I never thought I would get the $20 scissors from SU but ended up getting them for Great Rewards........ LOVE THEM! They are amazing! I am a bargain shopper but would recommend these in an instant!!!!

the last time I had my scissors sharpened, I asked the man who sharpens them what he would suggest to clean them and he said that nail polish remover is the best thing to use. So I use that because I trust he knows how to care for scissors.

I found with the versamark that after using the scissors, I didn't need to clean them, just wipe the versamark off.

I love the other suggestion's, after paying $20.00 I would try them all.

Fiskars has a pair of non-stick scissors, which is great for cutting rubber. No sticky mess to clean up at all, although I haven't tried SU's scissors.
