I am new hear and would like to know if anyone here knows where one can puchase ez mount, stick n peel..or anything else to use on unmounted stamps to cling to the acrylic blocks...I am new to stamping and have just gotten a bug with tilda stamps.
I live in Edmonton and would like to know where to go..I hate having to order stuff on internet..it takes to long to get.
Hey, there! Welcome to SCS! I know Joann's carries the Tack 'N Peel, although not too sure if they are in Canada, sorry. That is my favorite stuff, since I just have to treat a set of blocks once and that's it, I don't have to treat every single stamp I buy.
I use Scotch removeable poster tape on my blocks and just add my bare rubber to that. I don't like all the additional e-z mount etc on my stamps. Takes up way too much storage space. I am so limited now, I find I can have more stamps this way.
The poster tape can be found in most office supply stores and also any store that carried tape, pencils, pens and stationary.
Yes plain clear vinyl. You can see how to do it here. Just make sure you get the vinyl that sticks to itself when you fold it over & press it together. So vinyl doesn't seem to work. I got mine at Hobby Lobby for $2 a yard. I use mono multi for the glue. I think I have done about 50 stamps sets & used 2 bottle of glue. Pretty cheap compared to EZ mount. I just peel the rubber & stickers off. Put the stickers on the back of the rubber while it is still on the foam. Slightly trim the stickers to the foam. Put them on the table w/ put glue on the stickers. Then rub the glue around & let them dry. Then stick them to the vinyl & then cut the vinyl around the stamps.
I just use the EZ mount, then you just have to mount it once and the stamp is ready to use forever. I did use to use tape, then eventually would have to use more tape. I also seem to get a better impression with the cushion.
I got my ez mount at a few different stores: 7 College Kids, Stamping Bella, Eat Cake Graphics, Sunday International Rubber Stamps
Saskia, I'm in Edmonton, and I can give you a few recommendations on where you can buy EZ mount. Leaving town in 10 minutes but will try to send you a pm right now.
Here's an easier way to do, without vinyl, it and you'll only spend about $3 on a bottle of Tack it Over and Over, which is available at Michaels and you can use a coupon.
So once I put the tack over and over on my stamp it will stick on any acrylic block I want to use??
Yes it will now stick to any block and any storage case and come off easily... If you follow the directions and use a light coat then stick it to your hand once. It's wonderful. Since I use the sticker, I can see a perfect image through the tioao bc it dries clear.
I've used tack it over and over in the past, and still have 3 sheets of stamps that I need to remove it from, somehow. I find that while I can use the Tack it over just fine, I definitely prefer the EZ mount.
If you can't find it in Edmonton order from Stamping Bella. They ship UPS so you'll get it in no time. They are in Toronto so no customs and you can pay in Canadian dollars, although now it would be a little cheaper to order in American possibly. At a certain dollar value (I think it's $45 or $50) you get $4.50 shipping too. Hope you found something in Edmonton. Used to live there before I moved out here.

Betsy I never saw this before!! WOW.. it only works with stamps that are uncushioned though? or if I had my unmounted stamps with the label on them, would that work? This could be the easy solution right??
