Default Staples paint cans...

Do you think they are "food safe"? I thought about making home made hot cocoa mix and putting it in the paint cans. Opinions????

I think I'd put the mix in a zip loc bag and then put it inside. Besides, I doubt that they are air tight and they might leak!

I agree. Better to be safe than sorry. Even twist tie bags would work well as they might "squish" down better under the lid. Be sure to let us see what you do.

I always use ziplock bags for all food items in any containers;
unless it was meant for food (bread pans, etc).
