1. I am stamping some gifts for both of my DDs teachers (with ideas from this wonderful board ) and am debating about also doing gifts for some of the additional 'teachers' - ballet teachers, office staff and principal and the elementary school (maybe art and music teachers), owner and additional teacher at the preschool. Do you give gifts to just your children's primary teachers or do you include ancillary 'teachers' as well?
2. I am planning on doing the following: a memo cube, a card holder with 4 cards and envelopes, a pen, a candle and a post-it note holder for each gift. Do you think that is enough? If not what would you add?
Oh my goodness, the things you listed would be a wonderful gift as is. I am an elementary teacher. I would appreciate these gifts, because I realize the the thought that is going into them.
I know the auxillary staff members (art, music, pe, principal, secretary, etc) don't always get the recognition they deserve for the excellent support they provide in their area of expertise. I encourage you to acknowledge as many as you feel impact your children positively. Even with just a small gift and, most importantly, a card expressing your appreciation.
I always send my daughter's primary teachers "bigger" gifts and other teachers "smaller" gifts. A word of caution, once teachers know about handstamped gifts, future teachers will look forward to their gifts!!! For their ballet teachers, I will send a dance themed card with a picture of my daughter and a handwritten note from her thanking them.

I did give the support staff and additional teachers a similar gift as my children's classroom teachers! For the two secretaries, I gave them only the stamped candle and some cards, because they are always burning candles and they love my cards! The music teacher and string teacher got cards, notepad and pen, etc, but no candle. I even gave the school counselor (he's a man and he is also my son's boy scout leader) a few masculine note cards and a few feminine ones (he is separated but has both boy and girl children), plus a post-it-note holder and pen (but I skipped the candle for him!) I paired down the specialists gifts and they all LOVED them, even the counselor! For the male PE teachers, I added food (popcorn and candy) and just gave them a post-it-note holder and pen, they are very young and I just couldn't get myself to give them handmade cards! Just use your best judgement, the support staff and specialists will be absolutely thrilled!!!
I am a Pampered Chef consultant, so for Teacher Appreciation Week this year, I made lunch for the whole daycare staff (20+). My daughter has 2 teachers in her room, but she has been there for 3 years and I really feel like the whole school takes care of her and I wanted to give something to everyone without breaking the bank... so I did what I do best - cooked - and also offered a discount on my products if they wanted to order.
For my daughter's teachers, specifically, though, I also made stamped magnets using the octagonal 2x2 tiles (cut from a sheet of the mosaic tiles), stamped with flower pattern and colored with sharpies, and sealed with Krylon Matte finish.
During teacher appreciation week I make gifts for my childs' classroom teacher and para if there is one. She takes one gift every day of the week. Things like you mentioned plus things like shrink plastic earrings, a tumbled tile, a magnet, a bag of microwave popcorn in a stamped "sleeve", grocery list pad, bookmark, wrapped 'nugget' candy....etc., anything small-ish. One day is a bigger gift...like the stamped memo cube or tile.
Then for one day I make tons of a small (read: cheap, teehee) gift for them to take and give to EVERYBODY she wants to. Lunch ladies, secretaries, principal, janitors, PE teacher, music teacher, librarian, etc....you get the idea. This year it was a grocery list for the fridge. I made 40, she came home with 2 ! One year I made Hershey kiss roses and stamped a saying that we tied to the stem.
I started this when we lived in NE (of course then my son went to a small Lutheran school and there were TWO teachers-no other staff) and kept up the tradition when we moved here (public school, 300 kids and MANY staff !) and my son was in 3rd grade...(he is 8th grade now) The teachers that "get" Amanda are told how 'spoiled' they will be in May ! No pressure ! lol
All the teachers love it and the support staff is so appreciative of being remembered that I can't quit ! I enjoy it and my DD loves giving the things away ! She helps with what she can. I even made something for my son to give at the Jr high last year and the teachers were so thrilled....he said no this year. Apparantly he is too cool now ! lol

Hate to disagree but I am a teacher and not to sound ungreatful but if I get another apple themed thing (epecailly mugs or bath sets!) or worlds greatest thing I'll scream! I smile say I love it and toss in the garage sale pile! I think just cause someone does somthing for a living does not mean every gift they get has to be in that theme! The cards sound like an awsome idea my two cents is that they are NOT anything related to their job!
I have always been leery of giving teachers the Bath & Body works lotions, etc because the choice and preference of a lotion/soap fragrance is soooo personal. I would not want to pick out something that the person would not use.
Picture frames are a nice idea. The teacher can replace the pic of your child with another family or personal photo if they desire. Ooh, has anyone tried to stamp mosaic tile and then adhere it to a generic wooden/metal frame for embellishment?
