the point of the in-colors is that they are meant to mimic color trends in clothing and home decor and are only meant as supplements to the main color line. That being said, some colors have been SO similar to colors already released that oftentimes stamping off the core colors will get you a similar shade as an in-color.

Tami White and Linda did a comparison at the end of their pre-order video yesterday. I think they ordered everything in the pre-order that they were allowed to! Saw a few things I'd like. One they could not pre-order is on my list too. My demo told me about it.

I’ll miss Pear Pizzazz That’s about it. I’ve only just discovered Merry Merlot!! I got a pack of paper to coordinate with some dsp. It’s a lovely color.
I wish they’d bring back Chocolate Chip!!
I’ve never cared for Early Espresso! I think I’m the only one who doesn’t!

So Saffron???? I LOVE So Saffron!!!! Not even a "yellow" person but I just love it. Also not a "green" person, but have been using a lot of Pear Pizzazz. I've had several trips that have involved lots of outside stuff (hiking, botanic gardens, etc) so I've been using a lot of it. Will have to get some of both.
Happy about Fresh Freesia, because I'm definitely a 'pink" person, and I've loved this one!

It's been several years since they did a major update. But every year one set of In-colors are introduced and one set are retired. (They're guaranteed for 2 years. A few have made it into the 'regular' line-up afterwards.

I'm familiar with the In Colors; and SO excited Fresh Freesia is being made "permanent". Ive been buying SU a while, and time just runs together, so I couldn't remember the last one. Also glad Blueberry Bushel being made permanent. It's a more "true" blue than Pacific Point.

I still have several full size ink pads, but I try not to buy them instead use the cubes & reinkers method as they take up less real estate in my craft room.
What a great idea! I have been wishing that SU would offer more colors in the spots. I find the small cubes easier to use with my stamping platform. When I use my full size pads I often end up with ink on my platform. It doesn’t affect my cards, but it’s messy! Is there a method to adding the reinker to the uninked cubes?

I have been making my own with the in-colors for a few years. Basically with the uninked ink cubes, you slowly add reinker to the cube. Let it soak in, then come back and add a bit more. Test it and see how you like it. It is seems too dry, add a bit more reinker.

Thank you! I’m going to try this! I don’t use many large stamps so I think inking with the cubes will work well.

Where can we see the list of retiring/returning colors? Or is that just for demos for now?

For those who are bummed about Bermuda Bay...

Concord & 9th Oceanside is a great substitute for Bermuda Bay. It is just a "smidge" lighter. A little bitty smidge! I have confirmed that with my colorimeter...it is the identical hue, just a very small percentage of lightness difference. About 1%.

And if you worry about the inks...Concord & 9th inks are also firm foam ink pads. And their colors are usually a better match to the papers than most of my SU inks are.

Since it is an absolute favorite color for me, C&9 will be my go-to from now on for that color.

Thanks for the info on a replacement for Bermuda Bay!

For So Saffron lovers, Gina K's 'Sweet Corn' is a great choice.
For Pacific Point fans, Gina K's 'Blue Raspberry' is a nice substitute.
