Default Stampin' up questions about joining.....

I was thinking about joining Stampin' up and was wondering if anyone knew how much has to be sold to remain an active consultant? And are the benefits good?

Benefits are 20% off of everything and you receive 20% profit...to remain a consultant, you have to place a $300 order every quarter...I too am contemplating joining...I am thinking that Friday will be the day!!! WA HOO!!!

I LOVE SU!!!!! I think the benefits are waaaaaaaay more than just the 20%discount. For instance, you can be your own hostess and earn hostess benefits on everything you purchase. There's the Great Rewards program which is like earning another 5%. There's commission on your downline and a great volume rebate that gets me another $50 or so a month. All your supplies and stamping stuff is tax deductible. You get the latest tips and techniques before anyone else. You get to see new merchandise and order it before anyone else. You get a monthly magazine and a quarterly one and a newsletter as well. And you're a part of the industry leader! There are SOOOO many benefits to being a demo!
And don't worry about the minimums....The stuff sells itself, ladies! I never dreamed I'd stay--bought the kit for the great value--but here I am two years later with four recruits dropped in my lap and a customer list of more than sixty people! All for one or two workshops a month and one class a month. I LOVE it and I hope I never have to quit. Go for it!

That mini starter kit ($99) is not the big starter kit that we usually have. It only includes two stamp sets (one of which cannot be changed), a package of Whisper White CS and an assorted package of CS plus an ink pad. Oh, and the business supplies that come in a regular kit. This is aimed at people who were either former demos or who are long-time customers and have a lot of stuff already. It is, by their count a $119 value. The big starter kit is $199 but is currently a value of over $350 during SAB. You get much more for your money's worth.

So you'll want to decide what you really have and what you really need and whether you want to go for little money or great value.

By the way, that Mini Starter Kit promo runs from yesterday (Jan. 15th) until the end of February, but the forms MUST be received by SU then...it doesn't go by postmark.

GWTWJunkie hit the nail on the head about benefits and how easily it sells itself.
