Default Stampin Up Edgelit dies and Cuttlebug?

I purchased the Stampin Up Edgelits dies and Textured Impressions Embossing Folders. But I have a Cuttlebug and not a Big Shot. The dies and folders are too wide to go through my Cuttlebug. Has anyone used these with the Cuttlebug? I need some help. Thanks.

I don't have a Cuttlebug but felt uncomfortable letting the Edgelits go through the Big Shot sideways because they're the exact width of the cutting plates with nary a hair of width to spare. I could see one end accidentally overlapping the edge and somehow getting caught up in that machine because that's the way I roll LOL! Or should I say that's the kind of bad luck I have :-)

So, using a piece of cardstock cut to the size of the front of an A2 card, I ran them though longways. I put the long edge of the Edgelit horizontal to the long edge of the cutting plate. So, the skinny end went through first. I hope that's clear. This should work in the Cuttlebug as well since I know an A2 embossing folder fits in them.

Hope this is helpful.

I agree - I put mine in sideways - works like a charm.

That's what I was going to suggest. I have a Big shot and I still put mine in sideways.

I use mine sideways in the CB all of the time.
For certain cards that have to be done the other way I use my Big Shot. I am fortunate to have both.

I have watched several videos on using the Edgelit die cuts. They suggest using removable tape to hold the die cut in place. Or use sticky notes. I was able to find removable tape at Hobby Lobby.

thanks...these are great ideas! I haven't used my edgelits/embossing folders yet...so this will help out a lot with my cuttlebug!
