Default Stampin' Up! Colored Soap!!!!---Yeah, That's Right!!!--Really cool!!!!

Hey!!! I discovered something really cool! Stampin' Up! colored soap!
I purchased a 5 lb block of the "melt and pour" glycerin soap at Hobby Lobby with a 40% off coupon of course. Then I began experimenting and thought, what if I added reinker color to the soap and see if it would color the soap? HEY IT WORKS!!!!!! WOW!!!!! Y'all got to try this and it is SOOOOOOOO EASY!!!!!
Isn't that cool? Now I can make soap to match the SU colors and coordinate Christmas gifts!!!!!!
Really easy. All you need is a large pour spout glass measuring cup---I have an 8 cup Pyrex one I use. Get some of the melt and pour glycerin soap, chop it up in little cubes and fill up the Pyrex measuring cup. Then pop it into the microwave for a minute. Take out stir and after that, put into microwave for 15 sec---take out, stir, repeat until the soap is all melted. YOU DON'T WANT TO OVER COOK IT THOUGH!!!!!!
Now the fun part!!!!! Add your favorite soap fragrance---you can get those at Hobby Lobby also, they don't cost much--about $2-3 a bottle. And stir in your favorite SU reinker color!!!!!!!
Then spray the soap molds (Hobby Lobby and Michaels has many to select from) with rubbing alcohol----you want to do this to eliminate air bubbles. Pour in the melted soap up to the top of the soap mold. Then spray with alcohol again to get rid of the air bubbles on top. Let it sit for a couple of hours and pop out! Wah lah! SU! colored soap for gifts!!!!! If you have a hard time popping out the soap from the molds, I put them in the freezer for a few minutes and they always pop out for me.
Oh my gosh am I having fun with this!!!!!! I had to share! Y'all got to try this and I know you will have fun with this.
Then what I did was measured the soap and made soap boxes for them. I got this idea from Pootles---she is a hoot! Go to

<iframe width="640" height="360" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/UG72DYxe9rw?rel=0" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
and see how she made soap boxes. I adjusted the measurements to make my soap boxes, but they are eazy peazy to make.
I would love to hear if anyone tries this out. I am having a blast!

That sounds really pretty, but would you want to have ink in your soap?

It's ok with the ink in the soap. It just colors the soap just like you can purchase coloring for soap, same difference.

Wouldn't the reinker rub off when you wash your hands? Leaving you with colored hands?

This is not safe. The colors used in soap must be FDA approved for use in cosmetics. Stamping inks are not approved for such use. You should not put them in soap, any more than you would use them as lipstick or eyeshadow.
