Don't know the exact product you are referring but both the SU and MS scoreboards are made by EK Success. The SU diagonal plate fits the MS scoreboard so would assume other SU products that fit the SU scoreboard would work with the MS one also.
I just ordered the new scoring plate so will let you know if it's compatible with the Martha Stewart board when I receive my order. . . I am pretty sure it will work. . .
If you are talking about the SU diagonal scoring plate, yes, it definetly fits the MS scoreboard. I have them both. Didn't feel the need to buy the SU scoreboard since I already had the MS and Scor Pal.
Sorry, just re-read your title and see you are asking about the new plate. Thanks lindylou for answering because I was hoping it would fit like the diagonal one does.
No the SU borders plate will not fit in the Scor Pal. Yes I was disappointed also. I don't know if it is because of this but I can't get the SU borders plate to do anything. I use a stylus and press real hard and it doesn't give a good effect. So now I am wondering if I need to buy the SU score plate to make it work. Hmmm....
Oh dear - most disappointing - I would like this but I'm not prepared to buy another score board - I'm really happy with my ScorPal. Thanks for your quick reply Niki
It obviously fits snug into the SU score board but that is surely only to prevent excessive movement. I wouldn't have thought it would affect the way it works??

Niki, did you make sure to peel off the clear plastic cover from the plate? With it on, I've heard your paper can slide around and you may not get as good of an impression. Since it's clear, some people have missed it.
I am loving the new Borders plate! Here's a couple of cards I made using it: New Toys Sketch you can see on this one where my paper slipped...bit of a learning curve ;) ;) Secret Garden Sympathy I'm improving! Sweet 16 -I really like the way this one worked out where I scored a scallop border at the top of a dry embossed striped area
I don't think there is a plastic cover on the score plate. Must have removed it when I got it. I suppose it doesn't work because it isn't inside the score thing that fits. Seems you have to press really hard with the tool. Tried that and I ripped through the cardstock. Oh well must be a giant learning curve here. Thanks for the info.
I always use a dryer sheet or white candle wax gently rubbed over the back of the card before scoring any patterns. It helps the tool to glide over the card. It is just the same as you do when embossing in parchment craft. You might find that helps Niki.
Thanks Kat for the suggestion. I will try that. Never had a problem when embossing with parchment but cardstock is a different animal. Thank you again....

I missed it! thanks for the tip! I wasn't impressed with it, now I'll give it another go without the plastic! LOL!
