? Stampin Up Art of the Orient Set

Can someone tell me what the symbals mean in the SU "Art of the Orient set"? I bought it at a yard sale and thought I would give Asian a try but wanted to make sure I created with what the symbals stand for.

Sorry I don't know what the symbol means but please stamp and use the symbol with the Stampin' Up label at the bottom.

One year in a Stampin' Up catalogue (can't remember the year) there was a sample card shown with the Asian character symbol upside down. It really bothered me but didn't see this catalogue until years after. I thought this was disrespectful. Couldn't someone have asked what the proper manner the character should have been placed?
