Just a funny little question...
My new craft room in the basement is officially finished and I now have the luxury of leaving all of my stamping toys out. Do you leave your stamin' scrub open to air out and dry, or close it when not in use, always?? I've been leaving it open (unless of course I'm taking it to a workshop), but I'm wondering if there are any drawbacks to that. Opinions, please??
I usually leave mine open because like others have said it's just part of my work space. I like having it open so I can just start stamping and cleaning my stamps. Of course, when it is dry, my cat thinks she is supposed to lay on it!;)
I keep mine open becuase i have closd it before and it got smelly, so i had to re-wash it again and wait for the dry side to dry. Someone aksed earlier if the SC is worth it, and i was definately put that on my wish list! It wouks so much better than a washcloth!

I don't have one,. usually use a flat sponge-y cloth thing with water on it and some stampin mist as needed......do I want one of these???
Heck yeah, you want one!!! I have two, one for me and one for the other person stamping with me (mamaK). I love mine and love having a nice big surface to clean stamps on. Now, if I could just get better about cleaning the darned thing it might work better!
I love my Stampin Scrub, but I also don't clean it often enough. Buying an extra set of pads sounds like a great idea. When I use craft ink it gets especailly gunky, and I hate it when I pick up some old color off the pad when I am supposed to be "cleaning" my stamp!
For me it's sometimes open, sometimes closed depending on the mood I'm in. I'm actually pretty bad about cleaning my stamps as I go along, so I usually end up cleaning them all at the end of the project. If I'm in a neat freak mood, the stamp and scrub gets closed and put away. If I'm in an artistic go with flow mood it is usually left open.
Mine has a designated space on my work area. I leave it open all of the time. If I were to close it I would just fill the space up with something else. I would have that stuff to move to open it again. Too much wasted stamping time.

A hint for keeping the craft ink from getting the Stampin Scrub gunky... use baby wipes on the stamp first to get the majority of the ink off, then clean it on the Scrub.

I rinse mine every time I use it and leave it open until it's dry. Store it closed so it doesn't get any dust on it (I don't get to stamp every day). When I use the craft pads I rinse them off under the faucet first with water and a soft toothbrush. It has worked great for me and no craft ink on my stampin scrub.
