Default Stamp Stores in IN?

I will be in Fishers, IN next week and may have some free time. I'm wondering if anyone can suggest any interesting stores that I can check out while I'm there.

Thanks!

There is an Archivers near Fishers, but the only stamp store I know of is in Avon on 36, but have not been there for a while (it used to be fairly good). You can google it - it is easy to get to off of the interstate.

There is a scrapbooking store in Carmel IN called Memoirs. It is in Clay Terrace which is at 146th and US 31. It has been a while since I was there so I don't remember if they have stamps but they did have a good selection of other things.

Have fun!

Memoirs is a VERY nice store. If you go there, across (I think 146th street) from Clay Terrace is a strip of stores with a really nice Michaels.

Archivers is in Fishers at the Castleton Mall. Now, NOT IN the mall. Like most malls there is a road around the mall & outside of that road are strip malls. Archivers is BEHIND the Mens Warehouse store. You can't see it, except from one of the far outside roads. LOL NOT sure why they hid it there. My daughter lives in Fishers & teaches in Carmel so I go down there quite a bit. While you are at the Castleton Mall you might check out the Joann's Craft store across maybe 86th street? It's awesome. There's a Michael's close by, too.

Memoirs: http://www.memoirs1.com

There is one in Noblesville, too. Called Scrapbook Corner & it's on 37. EASY to get to. http://www.scrapbookcorner.us/

Wish you were farther North. There is an awesome store in Plymouth IN called The Memory Zone. Not only is it full of great stuff but the people are sooooo nice. Made my 1st trip there last week & can't wait to go back. Another one is in the Southlake Mall in Merrillville.........Scrapbook World INC. I did find another store but found them NOT to be friendly so I won't mention it. A smile will do a lot for me and your store. Just a tip. LOL

Wish I was going to be down there I'd love to take you around but I have to get ready for our BIG fall cookout & bon fire this week.

Hope this helps.

If your talking about Scrapbook Xanadu, I believe they closed. I could be wrong though.

I know Mooresville is too far, but there is a great store there called Just A Little Bit Moore off of 144...GREAT PEOPLE, great prices and good selection!

Oh Crissy, I am so sorry you missed it. They are soooooooo nice, friendly & just so helpful. The store had stickles, coluzzle, kits, and beautiful papers. I couldn't begin to list what they have but it was an experience.

We went to another one in Northern IN (I won't mention the name or town) but the woman did not smile ONCE at the 2 of us or any of the other 4 people in the store at the time. I worked in customer service & that is NOT the way to build up your business. Sorry, but it's not. I won't be back there but will go to the one in Plymouth & Merrillville.

If you make it down into Indy there's a camera store on 86th St. (near North Central HS) that has a nice supply of stuff. I liked Memoirs in Carmel for the great paper selection, but IMO the stamping selection was crummy. There's also a store in Noblesville - I'm blanking on the name, though! It had more stamps than Memoirs. I had no idea there was an Archiver's. Will definitely be hitting that at Christmas!

I've been to most of the stores mentioned. I have the following opinions/advice:

Memoirs in Clay Terrace: Was there two weeks ago. Very nice SCRAPBOOK store and all that goes with it. Not many stamps.

Scapbook Xanadu in Avon: Yes, it has closed but there is another smaller SCRAPBOOK store in the same strip mall. I was there about a month ago. The only stamps they had were unmounted alphabets and a few unmounted designs that could be stamped randomly for backgrounds.

The Scrapbook Corner in Noblesville: I was there earlier this summer. Again, it is a very nice SCRAPBOOK store with a small selection of stamps.

Archiver's at Castleton Square: I usually make it there once a month because my folks live up that way. Larger selection of stamps, but mainly a SCRAPBOOK store.

Of course, there are Michaels, Jo-Anne and Hobby Lobby in the Fishers/Castleton/Carmel areas.

If you couldn't tell, I'm mainly a STAMPER. If you want a REAL stamp store, you have to drive to Fort Wayne to Stampin' Day and Night or Cincinnati to Stamp Your Art Out. I'm hoping to take a road trip to the south and visit some stores in Nashville IN and Bloomington IN, maybe as far as Louisville KY. I hear that there's also a store in Santa Clause IN.

Good luck and enjoy your visit.

The camera store that Lori mentioned in Cord Camera in Nora Plaza (on 86th). I never went there when I lived in Indy, but a friend goes to on in Ohio and loves it!

Hi Geraldine,

I hope you have a nice visit here in Fishers. Do you have family here?

Yes, there are craft stores in this area. I am just a few minutes from Fishers, so memoirs and Scrapbook Corner are your closest stores. They both have a very small selection of stamps, asthey are really scrapbook stores. We live in a "dry county" when it comes to stamp stores in this area.

I think I know which store you're talking about, LOL! Would it by chance be next door to a vacant grocery store?
