Stamp store in Beacon, New York???

Hi all,
Anyone know of stamp/scrapbook stores in the Beacon, NY area? We are headed up there for a few days, leaving tomorrow. Thanks for any ideas you can offer.

Hi,
I don't know of any in Beacon but there is one in Goshen which isn't too far. The store is called Creative Gatherings. I hope this helps.

And, my husband thinks I have enough stuff for a store but he is wrong (there is no such thing as enough stuff!). Someday I will visit Creative Gatherings (may have to go solo as it's hard to find a date that works to go with friends).

I believe you'll only find Michael's and AC Moore up in Poughkeepsie. Check the website for the Galleria Mall - there might be something there; but I doubt it. Beacon doesn't have much. And I don't believe Fishkill or East Fishkill has any either.

I think there is a Michael's in Newburgh and one of the chains has a store in Middletown.

Michael's and Joann's have stores in Poughkeepsie. A.C. Moore's store is in Wappingers Falls but it is not too far on Route 9 to reach M's and J's.

There is also a Walmart (Super Walmart?) not far from A.C. Moore but in the oppsite direction from Michael's. I haven't been there lately but I think there crafts area was recently revamped.

Have you been to Around the Corner? I love that store and its owner, Christine. She is awesomely (?) nice. I recently joined a card club in her store. I live in Putnam County not to far from Pawling. Glad to hear from a neighbor.

Christine os the best!!!!!! She graciously let me play with alcohol inks and twinkling H20s and is always very helpful. I joined the store's monthly card swap!

PS - sorry to the op for the slight hijack but Around the Corner really is a wonderful store, and I believe worth the visit if it fits into your schedule.
