Default Stamp the Rainbow

A question for those of you who love including a rainbow of colors on your cards - whether using markers/pencils or ink pads -

What are your go-to product/colors?

I love the rainbow look but my rainbows tend to have some missing colors or one of the shades is out of step with the others. I'd like to fill in, but want to buy wisely.

I'm up for both traditional brightly colored rainbows or softer colored rainbows.

Suggestions?

My current favorite is Distress Ink. There are so many pretty colors and they blend together beautifully. I also love how you can use the ink directly for a bold and bright look and you can also watercolor with them for a softer look.
Here are a few examples:

Love your cards!

I too struggle with the balance of color choices. I look at yours and think my inks are too gloomy to give such bright results.

I don't know if this will help, but when I noticed color gaps in my stash, I wrote ROYGBIV across the top of a piece of paper, and using clear inks (vs. toned down with gray/brown), dabbed a mark under the correct letter with the corner of each pad.

Gaps were immediately visible, not just in color family like red or yellow, but value - how light/dark.

I used Hero Arts Shadow Inks (cubes), Hero Arts Ink Cubes (by Lia Griffith - gorgeous), Ranger Archival, Mama Elephant, Studio Calico, some Distress Inks - though not all, since some have gray or brown undertones. I'm sure there were others, since I have a few of many companies' inks.

I've noticed violets sometimes are left out of ROYGBIV projects, and that works if there is blue and/or indigo.

And omg, Mrs. Q's cards are beyond gorgeous and make me happy!

Btw, some of the mini cube 4-packs do the work for us, with colors that look beautiful together.

For example, on this Ellen Hutston page a few that caught my eye - and there are others:
(select at least 48 items per page)

https://www.ellenhutson.com/Search.h...ssortment-F628

Hero Arts Ink Cube Packs:
- Sweet
- Kelly's Outdoor Inks
- Lia Griffith Color Lights

- Coffee & Donuts - not that it's rainbow/ROYGBIV but the colors are so pretty together, at least for my taste.

While the 4-packs don't have every color you may want when you're going rainbow, they're a foundation, and just one more ink may finish it off.

Just to clarify, those aren't my beautiful cards. I made sure to post watermarked photos so their creators would have proper credit, so I apologize if I did this incorrectly!
