Awhile back there was a thread regarding a cassette tape holder that was used for a stamp pad holder. It was from the fellowes web site.... I have been trying to find it, but can't find it. Can anyone advise the product number? This was given on a thread, but I can't find it. Help please!
Debbins-
I believe the model no. is 83204. It holds 100 and revolves. Price is 5.99. I don't have one (yet) but read that SCSers like it. I'm not up to that capacity yet!
If you go to fellowes.com and at the top of the home page search for "cassette" it's the third one down and it is item #83204. It's $5.99 (and yes, the shipping and handling does cost more than that!!!) But all total mine was less that $14. What a GREAT deal. And don't worry about how many stamp pads you do or don't have. I might have 20 stamp pads but I love it (and have no problems with it). It gives me room to grow!!!!
I am SO HAPPY I got this. And HIGHLY recomend it! The stamp pads fit in snugly (as a matter of fact it might take a little while to get used to how to put them in and take them out--but once you do it's a breeze!)
I just got mine last week too and couldn't be happier! Now I have more desk space for more accessories! It was only $13.74 including shipping. . .can't beat that!
I received my Fellowes cassette holder almost 2 weeks ago, and I'm really pleased with it. A huge thank you to you wonderful gals who suggested it!
It holds the new style SU stamp pads. I tried versamark and Staz-On, but they were too small for the openings. For the amount that I paid for it, I'm pleased with it. It took less than a week to receive it.
I just got mine, and I'm loving it. I can see all my ink pads, and the staz-on does fit, but they will slide if I turn it too fast. Encore and Versamark don't fit. (Too tall.) Hard to beat the price, and I LOVE being able to see everything!
I made my ink pad holder with foam board I had laying around and hot gluing it together. I plan on stamping on it, to make it personal.. but then I only have 12 pads.
It really does matter what way you put them in. You may want to put them in in the other direction (geez this is hard to put into words, I wish I could just show you!)
I put the end of my stamp pad without the "lip" (the part that says the name of the color) in last. So I put the other end in first, at an angle and then lock it into place. I couldn't get it to work the other direction! And I also pushed the stamp pads in too hard so they were really hard to get out! I've found the perfect balance and it works like a charm! Keep playing, you'll get it and when you do you'll be SOOOO happy!
Ditto to what Amy said. The narrow end without any writing on it will be inserted into the right slot first. Then, you insert the narrow end with the color name into the left slot.
I tried it the other way because I wanted to be able to clearly red the ink color, but I couln't get it to fit correctly.
Kate, how did you get your Staz-On to fit? Maybe I'm mechanically challenged!
Melissa, I have a whole side that only has staz-on and Opalites on it. (That might be the trick, honestly.) I put them in from the bottom down, pushing them against the left-hand side. If you're not careful, the tops of the pads (where there's that little lip) will catch and go above the single tape line. If you get them under the line, they'll stay. They're tight vertically, but so far it seems to work. Now I just need to get a silver sharpie and label them so I don't have to take them all down to find what I need!
In rereading, your post, I'm wondering if we have the same unit! Mine is designed so the right-hand ends of the tapes kinda stick out, which means if I put the labelled ends of the ink pads on that side, I can see them. (Picture 4 L's on their sides in a circle.) Is that different? Maybe that's the issue?

I'm glad/hate it at the same time that someone else is having trouble, but I will try it and see if I can make them stay in. They either stay in to tight or slide right out. ARGH!!!! I thought this was one of those "no-brainers"! LOL! I'll keep working with it and see if I can master it! I would hate to know I let this plastic spinny thing get the best of me!
Thanks for the advice!

Maybe our cassette holders are different. My Staz-on pads will not fit in the slots. I understand what you mean when you say to picture 4 L's in a circle...that's what my holder looks like too. Perhaps there are different model numbers of this! I'm just glad it will hold my old style stamp pads! Now I have more room to store paper in the slide out drawers that held my pads.
I'm having a hard time ordering this :( I think I will call on Monday to see what is going on. The prompt, after filling in all the info, states that they are unable to verify the billing address. Has anyone else had this problem? Also, my total was $13.74. I'm thinking this is because Oregon doesn't have any sales tax.
