I wouldn't really call it a "convention" but the Rubber Stamp and Scrapbook show is in Syracuse this weekend. I think there was also something in Buffalo.
Does anyone know of any rubber stamp conventions coming up in the northeast? CT, NY, RI, MA?
Maria, there is an Heirloom Productions Stamp Convention next weekend - June 6 & 7 in West Springfield, Mass. You can get all the details at their website - http://www.heirloompro.com/
You're welcome Pam. BTW, have you been to any of the Central/Western NY gatherings (there was one earlier this month in Syracuse organized by lindylou1220 and one near Binghampton in February that conductorchic organized)? There are several each year and I think one is linked in my current signature. Fun and talented group of fellow SCSers!
Hi, I am from Montreal,Canada and am driving to attend for the first time the W. Springfield Convention. Anyone knows any nice rubberstamping boutiques around, say within 25 miles of Springfield? Thanks, prunelle1350
There's a Rubber Stamp Expo June 13-14 at the Altamont Fair in Altamont, NY.
I recall reading that location was canceled ... here is the link to the show schedule for the Rubber Stamp & Scrapbook Expo .
Oh, no . . . I was looking forward to going to the Altamont show. I just looked on the fairs website yesterday and didn't see the show listed, and I couldn't remember who was putting it on, bummer.
I'm going to the Springfield, Ma. show tomorrow. I can't wait. There is a long list of vendors posted on the website, so it looks like to be a great show. If anyone else is going, I would love to hear what you purchased.

The Springfield, Ma. show was incredible on Saturday. It was almost too overwhelming and was hard to decide what to buy. There were many make and take projects also. It was very crowded, especially in the morning, but thinned out around 2:00. That was the time to relook at everything you might have missed. I purchased a ScorePal, which I had been wanting for awhile, some stamps from Outlines and Starving Aritistamps, some specially papers, 3 Pop-Ups by Plane, some paper from Core'dinations and a few more do dads. I can't wait to start playing with my new stuff later this week.

My wife was at the Springfield MA show yesterday, Saturday. She met up with some of her SU customers and demos in her group. She went with her mother and a group of wonderful ladies Rebecca does recreational stamping and crafting with once a month. -correction- Once every 3 weeks as once a month was not enough for them!
Rebecca made a neat stamped, crafted flower pin for everyone mentioned above to wear. I meant to take a pic of it but did not have time before she left.
Daniel
P.S. On the phone last night, Rebecca told me not to worry about her purchases at the show this year, since she did not bring her rolling suitcase!

hi everyone - went to the w. spfld. show yesterday - worked in the morning (work every other weekend), but got there around 1pm - not crowded, so you could see everything - every year there are less and less vendors (bummer) - 5 years ago the whole BLC was filled - hope the attendance stays up - lesson in this: try to attend these shows or else they'll disapear

Hi, thanks for responding. I attended the show Saturday and sunday. I bought too much: stamps, paper, c/s, ink pads, ink. We left Montreal on the Friday morning and returned late last night. We stopped along the way on the 93 at Michaels, AC Moore's and Jo-Ann's and a few boutiques in NH but were not very lucky to find boutiques along our way in Mass. Do you have any suggestions for our next trip.
It sounds like you had a very productive trip. I live about 2 hours away from Springfield, so I am not familiar with the boutiques in that area. It would be out of your way if you travelled 100 miles east to my part of the state. Maybe you could search on Google for some information for your next trip. In the meantime, it sounds like you have lots of new stuff to play with.
