Hello, I thought that since we have alot of retireing sets or it could be non stampin up too. I am wondering if someone, or many someones could help me out? Do any of you have an excess amount of Cards or Card fronts from swaps or anything like that? My sister works at a nursing home and I have given her a ton of mine for the home. I am just wondering if anyone would want to send me some that they may want to donate to a good cause? The people at the nursing home LOVE them!! Please let me know and I will send you my address. Thank you sooo very much.
Come on, ladies, let's help Janie out with these cards for the nursing home residents. I'm sending mine out Monday. Try to come up with a few of your extra cards and send them out to Janie.
Hey Girl, just saw your post....I'm sure I can get a few out on Monday, too. Gonna do some stampin' this evening with a friend, so maybe I'll have more than I thought. You need to keep reminding me of this....I'm old and the memory ain't what it used to be.
I'd be happy to! But if you could tell me which kinds are most needed (birthday, thank you, thinking of you, get well, etc.) I could best make them suited to the needs of the nursing home. PM me with your address and I'll get some out ASAP!
Hi Janie! You are so thoughtful to do this! I do this too! My mom is only 56 and in a nursing home because of a stroke she suffered 10 years ago. I put the cardfronts on the Georgia Pacific White Cardstock I buy from Walmart to make full cards. I usually take in 100 at a time with a box of 100 white envelopes so the nursing home workers and residents have all they need (except postage!). I hope to include postage for the next batch, though! And you are SO right about these cards being LOVED! It does not matter the quality, paper, embellishments, artistry! They are all handmade and that is the most precious thing to these folks!
Keep it up! I'd send you mine but they are already spoken for!!
Suzie
Thank you to anyone who wants to donate! This is so wonderful, your doing an awesome thing! To see the looks on the residents faces is awesome. And if you are considering doing this for me. They can be ANY kind of cards, all occasions!
I can send some. If the nursing home is near Boise, I can hand deliver them myself, if you give me it's name. If not, please pm me your address, and I will send them to you. It is such a sweet thing you are doing!
