Although I don�t post a lot, I�ve enjoyed this board and all the kind and caring people on it for years. This is first time I�ve a made a RAK request but I have a friend who could really use some cheering up. She is a friend that I made when I was working as a nurse in Philadelphia and she was one of the clerks. I have since moved to North Carolina but we have kept in touch. She is a wonderfully friendly and caring person.
Unfortunately, she has severe diabetes and vascular disease which has resulted in multiple medical procedures and surgeries, including an amputation of her leg. She is one of those people who always manages to keep her spirits up even when she is in the worst situation. She never complains and never fails to ask how others are doing instead of talking about her own problems. Last time she was in rehab, she was an inspiration to the other patients. However, she recently developed more circulation problems and she had to have an amputation of her other leg. Post-op, she�s been having problems healing and for the first time, she sounds really discouraged. Of course, she has many concerns about the future including how she will be able to manage.
February 3rd is her birthday and I think she would really appreciate receiving some of the beautiful cards made by the talented people on this board. They could be birthday cards, get well cards or just thinking of you cards. I know she would appreciate every one and I would greatly appreciate your thoughtfulness!

So sorry to hear of all the challenges this special lady has had to endure!
