Since we are going on our 17th or 18th day with no sunshine, I was getting a bit depressed and decided to stamp some bright, cheery cards.
Since I couldn't upload them today, I thought I would share them with you this way!
The friendship card literally took me an hour, because I just could not figure out what I wanted to do. I'm still not very happy with it, but I just finished it to be done! The left side of the scan got cut off, but the pink is mounted on green cs.
I like how you put the bow on top of the bouquet. Very cheery cards, we too recently had sun after a long spell of gloom. Looks like it is rising again today..yippee!!

I like the bow too, how did you do it? Looks like a punch but I am not sure.
How cute and springy both of these cards are; so cheerful, and wonderful bright color combos. In the first card, I really like how the checkerboard bg blends with the gingham ribbon - I'll have to keep this in mind since I have that bg stamp. Thanks for bringing a little sunshine to an otherwise gloomy couple of weeks! Linda

Linda, would you happen to know the name of the bg stamp? I bought mine used at a lss and I don't know the name of it. Could you help me? Thanks!
The bg I have is (as Mandy says) "Checkerboard" by Stampin' Up; it retired some time back. BUT, you said you purchased yours at your local stamp store - other brands have similar bgs and it could very well be a Hero Arts or any of the other brands out there. If you'd like to check the measurements of your stamp against the Stampin' Up one, here they are: (measuring the design part of the stamp only, no trim) 4-1/4 x5-1/2. Each square is 1/4".
